People whine about rushing Censer. People whine about hyper carry marksmen. People whine about assassins not being bursty enough. People whine about enchanters being brain-dead and non-interactive.

People don't realize that, before now, people were complaining that they had to build Sightstone first all the time. People don't realize that these freaking tank metas everyone wets their panties for always lead to hyper-carry metas, just like it did in season 5 when everyone and their damn Grandma was BEGGING Riot to nerf Jinx patch after patch. People don't remember that everyone was clamoring for assassins to have some sort of counter-play outside of "don't be there" before the assassin rework...ESPECIALLY FOR RENGAR. And if I ever try to bring up the notion that "Hey, enchanters could use some work so people can act and react to their kits better" or "Maybe enchanters shouldn't just be shield bots game in and game out", I always have to have one moron, or another, or a few others, come out saying "#PositioningIsADeepMechanic".

The boards flip flop WAY too much. Only thing the boards were relatively consistent on was how much everyone hated Dynamic Queue.

The boards are made up of multiple different individuals who have the right to change their opinion and do not represent everyone else's opinion.

So yes, it does flip a lot. It is in a constant state of flipping because that's the Internet in a nutshell.

And yet people are surprised when we land in a state like this one? I can understand the viewpoints of different people, but it's like people don't remember where we came from.

Like how are we gonna have people whining over melees being screwed over, but at the same time melee carries have to be niche at best or the whole forum goes up in flames? As someone looking at it all from the outside of the mob mentality it's ridiculous.

It's not always the same people and even if it is people think it can land differently and get disappointed when it doesn't.

And it is ridiculous. But I'm pretty sure it's human nature.

I know. I make these threads to try to give people that (hopefully) read it some perspective on how silly the whole thing is. Eventually we'll be back in a meta that doesn't support hyper-carries, and in that instance we'll once again go back to people dreaming about season 5, which if we ever go back to tanks, we'll go BACK to this again. I wish people did some bigger picture thinking. That, too, is human nature...or at least my nature.

  • Just cause adcs are in your bot lane doesn't mean the meta revolves around those marksmen.

  • There are metas where tanks are just blatantly not played, period.

  • LS said himself that it wasn't always a tank meta. And yeah, there are metas where tanks aren't played all that often...which is when Riot breaks the game on fundamental levels and has to go behind itself buffing tanks back up.

  • This had NOTHING to do with my statement on adcs in the first bullet.

So what was gained here?
