So whatever happened to Staff of Flowing Water
If I recall, this item was supposed to be introduced with the preseason. Or am I just imagining things? Not the first time I've went off the crazy bat but still, why was it scrapped?

It was a Blackmarket Brawler's item. As far as I know, DMP was the only item added from BMB.
Eh, well that's disappointing. I really thought I had seen this item to be introduced with preseason.
As far as I'm aware we haven't ever had any plans to make Staff of Flowing Water a regular item. Your thread's not the first I've seen talking about it though, so I'm guessing we unintentionally implied we might at some point.
Pretty certain data miners caught a price adjustment to the item that probably happened automatically due to component price changes, and thus it was listed in their Preseason PBE information blogs under item changes. Seeing that Staff of Flowing Water had been changed probably lead people to believe that it was returning. Although it could also be the fact that the item still appears in Item Sets and in the Board's item icons - leading people to believe it's an active item (since all other Brawler items are gone).

Bump.
Its still in the current Item Sets list so its not much of a stretch to think its coming back.
It was on surrender @ 20, so people expected it to come.
Still would be a pretty cool item x: I'd love to build it on supports
Someone said "the Staff of Flowing Water effect is comming back as a mastery". People heard, "the Staff of Flowing Water is comming back"
Oh, well that's a shame. Anyway, I'm glad I got a Red to confirm this, sets my mind at ease ^.^
Have you ever thought about bringing it back? What effect makes Riot believe
is unhealthy for the game?
Keep in mind at one point hexdrinker was going to get an upgrade that was called spell breaker that gave crit chance and pretty good AD. Not all changes go through and that info was datamined which makes it a lot harder to find in the case of Spellbreaker.
It's far too dangerous....
How is this item able to be selected and put into item sets but not Trickster's Glass?
Trickster's Glass was popular, right. But that is similar with the popularity of URF. Have it in small amounts to maintain their fun factor.
I wish they would bring Murk Sphere back.
