We should be able to edit runes in champ select

I only have 4 rune pages , but I have a ton of runes. I get really annoyed when Im facing against an ad mid as a Mage but I don't have the proper rune page so I go into lane with 10 armor and get rekt...You can edit masteries in champ select, why not runes?

Because if you could, there would be no point in buying more rune pages

Believe me, I think its bullshit too, but Rune Pages is the one place where Riot really makes this look like a pay-to-win game.

It's not fair though... i lose lane because I don't have the proper runes to play against the enemies. The game becomes more of a "better rune page wins" rather than a "better player wins"

If you lost lane, it wasnt because of runes.

As long as you have standard runes, you are 100% competitive against other people in lane.

An Akali with magic pen instead of hybrid pen isnt going to insta lose lane to someone who has 100% perfect runes for the match up.

Well there's a reason you have to buy new rune pages. If you could edit them in champ select then there would be no need to buy more.

I understand that you need to buy the rune pages but they are sooooo overpriced, 975 rp/6300 ip for a single rune page. 6300 ip will take over a month to get and 975 rp is $10. So... You either get rekt by people for a year until u have enough for enough rune pages, or you waste a bunch of money buying rune pages.

On top of that, it's infinitely nicer to be able to tweak your runes. I have almost max mastery pages, but theyre only there for a base -- i still tweak before games. I could have twenty rune pages and still want to tweak.

And you know what, if i could tweak rune pages i would still buy them. It would take time to redo ALL your runes.

because money

But.... I've already given riot $150.

If you really cared about the rune page stats then you could have bought the 7-rune page bundle. Heck you still only have 4 pages, you could buy 2 of them and get 18 rune pages.

You don't lose your lane because of runes... Runes don't make THAT much of a difference; unless you're Diamond+, and even then I'd be skeptical.

And 4 pages is enough to at least have some general pages to help with a large group of champs.

AND if you've spent 150 bucks already, what's another 20 for rune pages, hmm?

Trust me, 35 armor vs 10 armor at lvl 1 is a HUGE difference, they aren't super useful later on but in the laning phase they help a lot.

Well there are a few runes who are decently useful for most of the game Like the movement speed quints And Cooldown reduction (if your champion actually makes use of CDR)

I won't defend the rune system at all, it's always annoyed me. The only thing I want is there to be no rune page cap. Spend the IP/RP for the pages that suit you. Riot would make a lot of money that way, and it would solve OPs issue in the long run.

That's why you should make generally useful rune pages when only having access to so few.

General AD: AD reds, Armor yellows, MR blues, AD quints - all flat General AP: MPen reds, Armor yellows, MR blues, AP quints - all flat

The two most basic runes pages everyone should have in their arsenal. From there, you should branch out, preferably covering your most played role the best when having access to only so few pages.
