So how is Lee Sin able to kick Galio out of his ult?

Or at least so in my perspective

When I play Galio, Lee Sin could always insta kick me out of my ult even tho I taunt him already

But when I play Lee Sin, I was unable to kick him right away....so wtf LOL

If you cast your ult between when he starts the animation for his and when it actually goes off. There is a lot of weird interactions like this. For example I was playing an ARAM as blitz last night against a Galio. I cancelled his ult twice by activating my E right before he ulted my team. When I was taunted I would obviously auto him and knock him up.

These types of weird interactions aren't limited to Lee either. Some other examples include Ezreal's shift still going off even if you hard CC him during the cast time. Another would be Casseo's ult being channeled before flashing for an instant cast in your face

Old Galio or new?

Either way, the answer is weird coding on Lee's ult.

it doesn't matter new or old but ofc old

because new galio, lee sin won't be able to kick him away from a knock up

Then yeah, still due to coding on Lee's ult. Depending on when he casts it, he can do it even when CCed. I've been ulted by Lee as Sion right after I hit him with my ult.

It's really dumb.

It is not because of coding. It is because Lee Sin's R has a rather long cast animation, and cast animations are not cancelled by CC in this game (only by death). He pressed R before the CC, but the CC hit before R animation was completed so he kicks when CC'd. Lux's and Ez's R is another example of long cast animations that frequently look like they should be cancelled but are not.

It's a matter of timing. Lee Sin's ultimate animation cannot be cancelled once it reaches a certain point (the same goes for many animations) so if Lee Sin uses his ultimate shortly before Galio uses his he is able to interrupt Galio's ultimate. This is similiar to Thresh being able to use his Flay shortly before getting ulted by Warwick - and interrupting Warwick's ultimate immediately.

I'm playing with silver bronze people who got boosted to gold and plat, I'm pretty sure they don't have god like mechanic or fast reaction to do it all the time

Keep in mind that they don't have to do it intentionally..

Unfortunately, especially in low elo, a lot of the "outplays" (e.g. where you CC a Malzahar/WW/Galio/etc... right after their ultimate is put on you immediately canceling it) is entirely out of luck. They cast their CC out of panic/desperation and the aggressor casts their ultimate out of greedy/excitement and it really comes down to whoever had the slower reaction time ultimately winning out.

You do look like a badass though when you make those cool outplays that were totally down to luck and panic though.
