Does Riot just want to see Nasus in Pro player or what?

Like, Nasus can now get 400 stack at 15min if he choose to deny his jungler LMAO

Idk which is worse,

  • Nasus getting his stacking insanely buffed, or
  • There is such a big rift between pro play viable and unviable champs that "average" champion needs to be buffed this insanely to even have a chance in pro play.

I would disagree check my op.gg diamond MMR and plat 1 player ex master ''smurf'' aka banned

Nasus was op before the buff now he is just broken same will happen with every overloaded kit. Jax Udyr Veigar etc. Basically you have a champion that is supposed to be weak early but he has free life steal free dmg free armor pen free double exaust every 6 sec or so free hp% dmg mixed dmg. If Riot was to idk lower his base HP stats and cut the life steal passive he would be balanced. OR just do what old Cho'gath used to be you die you lose part of stacks works on Draven, Mejai's etc. yet cho veigar and Nasus kinda skip that rule.

What you need to count in are other changes that hapened. We saw Nasus in pro play and with easier stacking without any trade off he will just grow in popularity.

I asked for it, I wanted to play Nasus Jungle for a long time but he was so weak compared to other champs. This is a 10/10 update, and with the insane amounts of stun these days its not even broken.

Bardmageddon7 votes

Just played against Nasus in blitz. 1k stacks in 10 min (and he insisted on being a **** instead of ending early)

Who approved of this?

DuskDaUmbreon1 votes

Nasus and being OP in Nexus blitz if played by anyone who knows what they're doing.

Name a more iconic duo.

Not really.

Nasus mainly failed to scale into the late game beast he is due to his lack lustre laning and how fast games were.

So how does Riot respond? Buff the shit out of his stacks giving him a decent laning phase now (or afk farm jungle) and reach his late game status at 15 mins because 15 mins is the new late game.

OrangeMarine2 votes

i see what you're saying but Nasus falls off late game. He peaks mid-game.

I've gotten 400 stacks at 20 within the past 2-3 patches, so i'm sure you can get much more by 20 now with this buff

his laning phase after like level 4 was acceptable. His passive lets him shrug off harass. But yea another big DAMAGE buff to force him into viability. Kinda not about that. He could even afford to lose stacking potential/dmg if they took another route and buffed his mobility.

Mael Jade5 votes

Not to mention that giving him increased damage also means he has more sustain. 24% Lifesteal for hitting level 11 and as of right now probs with 500 stacks makes for some fine sustain. Cant bully him off farm or stop him unless it is a 3v1 with 2 CC bots and permanent Grievieous wounds cause he presses Q, hits something for 800 damage with Triforce, Base and AD scaling on a 1 second cooldown and just shrugs off the damage.

Actually it's level 13. And do u want to deny him farm at level 13? I mean u do that between level 1 and 10

If we want to see immobile champs succeed compared to flashy, dashy new champs, they need some outlandish mechanics.

I'm just glad they finally realized it.

Z3Sleeper2 votes

Agreed. Even so, the immobiles typically just have raw power, and this is just more raw power. The mobile ones tend to have the real outlandish mechanics. Wind Wall, True Stealth, resettable AoE execute, etc.

Immobiles have mountains of raw power in their abilities. Ex. Annie's CC burst, Nasus' 95%/47.5% MS/AS targeted slow, Feast, etc.

As it should be.

Perhaps, but this is why immobiles are typically viewed as "low-skill" champions.

Which is kinda funny because succeeding with a champ that moves like a Tortoise when everyone else is a hare is pretty much a statement in itself, look at Annie Bots Annie. A champ considered unviable beyond Gold outside Support and Annie Bot makes it work.

"We're increasing the reward good Nasus players earn for prioritizing last-hits on big stuff. This doesn't affect stacks from smaller units, so the big dog's gotta land those cannons to make use of this buff. Plus 12!"

Yes but why?

Also, is that 24 in ARAM?

DuskDaUmbreon4 votes

Yes, it's 24 in ARAM, and would have been 36 in Nexus Blitz if the x3 buff had remained.

The reason for this buff in particular is because Nasus is statistically weak (yes, even in low ELO), and this is a buff that still leaves significant room to outplay him (as it's a completely reasonable thing to say "Force Nasus off of cannon so he doesn't get strong") and actually probably helps higher tier more than low tier (as lower tier players are almost always worse at CSing, he's more likely to not get the cannon stacks).

Jaspers1 votes

So much for playing AP in ARAM then, prioritise those cannon and champ stacks now. :P

DuskDaUmbreon1 votes

Actually, still a slight buff to AP Nasus.

AP Nasus isn't just "Poke with E", you still have to get stacks with that as well.

Z3Sleeper2 votes

ARAM Nasus has always gone Ludens -> Triforce.

Full AP just doesn’t scale. You just get Luden’s for early poke damage then transition to standard Nasus.

Z3Sleeper1 votes

You get stacks way faster from lane minions than jungle monsters.

He has to actually kill jungle monsters to stack em (using multiple Q casts) while lane minions die as fast/faster than Q is even up.

forresto1 votes

Depends how you do it. I like to fight camps with smaller monsters so I can get lots of stacks from q on minions while autos and e whittle away the big one. Only the buffs and gromp really require multiple q hits.

Z3Sleeper1 votes

Raptors and Wolves essentially yeah. But those have spawn times and Nasus plays up in top lane.

Later in the game sure go poach raptors all day, but you gotta get to that point first.

forresto1 votes

Oh, I was thinking of actual jungle nas. That was legitly a thing for a couple years.

Z3Sleeper1 votes

I sorta covered my opinion on it in the first post.

This buff has a really big impact on low elo. Nasus winrate in bronze, playing top so far has increased from 50,40% to 54,38%. His winrate in bronze, playing jungle this patch is 54,03% In platinum + his winrate top increased from 49,14% to 50,77%

Whenever Nasus gets balanced around high elo, he becomes broken in iron/bronze/silver.

USbetterthanUK1 votes

Idc what they do with champions for the buff, but they need to keep large monsters where they are as it makes Nasus Jungle a viable pick.

Dethflash1 votes

I feel like if they buffed Nasus from 6 to 8 for champions etc. would have been a good buff, but 12 was just way to much. But we already know riots balance team doesnt even know what the word balance means. If for some chance a balance team member sees this, here i will help you out. Balance means: a condition in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions. an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady.

CapnMorganFr3man1 votes

All the buffs do is make him stomp even harder in low elo, he'll still stay garbage in just about every rank above silver since the buffs dont fix any of his real issues.

LTK KoRo1 votes

And his real issues shouldn't be even fixed, as long as his design is: "im not going to interact with you for 10 minutes and then wack you with the cane all the time with no counterplay" he doesn't deserve to be viable.

Seriously, we can say that Zoe or Teemo are cancerous, but they are much more fair than unkiteable Nasus, or a good laner nasus.

Dimwitt1 votes

Master plan foiled.

CLG Darshan road to redemption crushed.

IG Ziko1 votes

They want to see him good in bronze and silver. Just if he has like 51% win rate in the elos he should theoritically "dominate"

USbetterthanUK1 votes

Jungle Nasus is finally a thing without being at risk of report, I like these buffs thank you. Now stay at your tower where its safe (until I get item 3056 ).

DragonShea1 votes

Buff his defenses next.

Sasogwa1 votes

As a Nasus main I heavily dislike this buff. What Nasus needs is :

  • conq nerf on the %true damage
  • lower damage accross the board
  • less crazy gold income accross the board
  • resistances being decent

What he DOESNT need is more damage
