im on shaco 20 more cs than rammus... 1 more kill than rammus. 5 more assist that rammus. 2 towers over 0 than the rammus team. 2 deaths to his 4 deaths.

Yet he is a higher fucking level than me. Because of shit game design where you reward players for being bad.

My bad i died once.... so the enemy jungler deserves to be a higher level than me... yet he has 3 deaths.

Get this shit out of the game already.

Why would anyone bother arguing with you about this?

You've already drawn 'battle lines' and you've made it clear that you are incapable of talking reasonably about this.

Nobody is going to get anywhere with trying to help you because you already set your opinion in stone.

There are a number of different ways a jungler can gain XP in unexpected ways. For example:

  • there is a new jungle route that results in a rubber banding effect that grants a significant level boost.
  • Junglers can leech XP from their teammates if they are close to lane while enemy minions are dying.
  • Catchup experience is a thing and if the enemy team was enough levels ahead of rammus then he could have been gaining more XP for each jungle camp taken.
  • Landing a kill on an opponent who is higher level grants a larger XP reward (I think, anyway... If someone can contradict this with evidence I'll remove it).

Exactly, which is what happened. Due to catch up exp and nothing else. He was rewarded for being behind. Which is what i am arguing as how can that be an acceptable game design.

I cannot speak for Riot, but I suspect that it has to do with the fact that getting counterjungled was extremely anti-fun in the past of this game. When it used to happen, a player who got counterjungled would become completely irrelevant to the game for the rest of the game. It would be a soul-crushing experience.

As someone who counterjungled enemies all the time I can say that it made them worthless, and took away from the balance and fun of late game because the game was essentially a 5v4. It's worse than laners falling behind because in the jungle it is just so much more complex and dangerous. Junglers don't get a constant stream of minions to farm XP or gold from, they have to farm camps. If they can't do that then they are helpless.

Riot probably added catchup XP as a way to mitigate making players feel helpless when behind in the jungle.

CS doesn't correlate 1:1 in the jungle because different camps have different number of mobs. Sounds to me that you have poor jungle pathing tbh

i killed more of every camp than he did except he got 1 more of the frog dude than i did. Every other jungle camp i killed more of or on par with him.

There no way you could know that. It's pretty obvious you're going to just say whatever you want no matter how impossible it is to go with your point. Take care.

i just watched the replay......... how can you say there is no way of knowing that. When in the client you can download replays and watch it...... wow.

This has to do with catch up exp. but i dont think you what that is.....

Yeah, love when the enemy Zac can just sit in the top lane brush for 50 seconds and not be punished because of this retarded catch-up exp.

What Eedat said. There's also the likelihood that Rammus sapped XP from his laners in bushes during attempted but discontinued ganks.

do you not understand what happened? Let me explain it to you. Riot implemented a thing called catch up exp. So when you are behind and kill someone your level jumps up drastically. Or if you kill someone who got a couple of kills your level jumps up drastically. So when i got that double kill bot and he killed me his level jumped up 70%.

This has nothing to do with pathing or what you said. Its has to do with catch up exp......... how do people not know this is a thing.
