Yasuo should be buffed not nerfed

Bultz··2 votes·2,051 views

After playing so many different champions on different modes and being a Yasuo main, You can easily tell Yasuo needs a buff not a nerf. The reason he has a good win rate is because most players are bad or casuals who invest no time in learning to counter him. I have never once in my entire league history played against a Yasuo who was difficult to counter as long as no one fed him. Yasuo players are hardcore mains who invest hours upon hours in practicing the champion. Do you know how long I practiced airblades for? Meanwhile you play Annie or Lux mid lane, get crushed, and are like on no we need nerfs. Yasuo has one of the highest play rates in the game. Number wise he is the most popular champion, his only competition was I believe Zoe, idk if it still is. That means a lot of people are good with him. He may have a high skill ceiling, but give people time and everyone can get good. Saying he needs nerfs after he reaches 52% winrate is the funnest and stupidest thing I have seen. Ahri had a 52%+ winrate since her creation and not one of you said a word. Your complaints are from your lack of ability to beat Yasuo. Nothing more. You can't beat him because his mains are hardcore players. Riot literally constantly caters to the cry babies on these forums and it's never good enough. Like do you know how many times Yasuo mains had to change their build path in just these two past years? Yasuo can't even engage in team fights because he gets splattered. He is barely decent at 1v1 anymore. If you 1v1 a duelist you deserve to be shat on. Yasuo has 0 endurance and a poke-able shield and that still isn't enough for people. Like no one is even asking for Yasuo buffs, but man do people on here cry like babies for Yasuo.

I really wish this were satire, but sadly I don't think it is.

The reason he has a good win rate is because most players are bad or casuals who invest no time in learning to counter him

Those same players wouldn't invest time into learning to counter other champions either, so a fundamentally flawed argument.

Yasuo players are hardcore mains who invest hours upon hours in practicing the champion

No more so than literally any other champion. Again, a flawed argument based off of nothing.

Do you know how long I practiced airblades for?

What you did doesn't reflect the average player.

Yasuo has one of the highest play rates in the game. Number wise he is the most popular champion

Which completely refutes what you said about all yasuo mains being hardcore players. If he's that popular, that means a lot of casual players play him as well.

That means a lot of people are good with him

No, that means a lot of people play him. A high playrate doesn't mean all the players playing the champion are good with them.

Saying he needs nerfs after he reaches 52% winrate is the funnest and stupidest thing I have seen.

By your own admission, he has a high skill ceiling (you said nothing about a skill floor, but I assume you can agree it's a moderate skill floor as well). A high playrate and a high winrate on a champion that's admittedly not easy to play well is an indication that they're too strong. You can't compare his winrate to ahri's, as ahri is easier to pick up and play moderately well.

I've never really had an issue with yasuo before, but he is too strong right now, and riot acknowledges that and said there will be nerfs coming soon.

This all just goes to show the type of people gravitating towards Yasuo. I am fairly certain this person both complained Yasuo cant engage team fights and is only decent in 1v1 not specifying champions mind you, just a suggesting in general. Not only are these his reality but he takes issue with both suggesting he believes his champion should have an affinity to both if I understand correctly. Not only should his 1v1 require even less effort vs most champions BUT he should be able to engage team fights better as well then what's provided by [insert knock up] in combination with his ult.

Meanwhile you got players like TF mains off to the side banging their heads on the wall asking how so little justice can be in the world.

No it's not. Being lazy is not an excuse to whine.

Actually a lot more so than any other champion. Do you even Yasuo bro? Yasuo player spend hours practicing.

What you did doesn't reflect the average player.

Yes, yes it does. The average Yasuo player does this. Like stop talking about shit you know nothing of.

No they don't. causation and correlation. The casuals are the feeders that you get on your team. They try him out and leave him and complain on the forums. That is were that meme is from.

No, that means a lot of people play him. A high playrate doesn't mean all the players playing the champion are good with them.

Then why are you here complaining. lmao.

"No, that means a lot of people play him. A high playrate doesn't mean all the players playing the champion are good with them" it also means all the players against him are not good and his winrate shouldn't counted either.

Riot likes to feed the babies.

Yeah, I'm not gonna bother with much a reply to this. Feel free to believe whatever you want, no matter how wrong it is.

Yasuo's 83% pick/ban rate disagrees with this post entirely.

Your whining is not gonna change him getting nerfed. At this point its only Yasuo mains who disagree and luckily the Devs aren't all Yasuo mains.

Edit: at this point i am even sure some Yasuo Mains think he is overpowered.

No one thinks he is overpowered except people who can't play him or play against him. No one wants a nerf, his ban rate will never fall because it's a meme and people ban him on purpose to be dicks. You know what is over powered? mages like Zoe who stun you once then pop you with one q. That is what is overpowered, not the guy who has to plan every move out of his attack, judge his positioning, level, items, hp, distance, minion rations and agro, and etc.

He's an overloaded champion with no clearly defined periods of weakness throughout a game. The only window where he can be considered "vulnerable" is if his windwall is down, and you can easily just back off your lane until it's back up.

lux don't know how to play against yasuo uses 1 skill to literally block ALL of her attacks as you charge at her, making her range advantage useless*

most players are bad or casuals checks* : season 7- silver 4, season 8 - silver 4

ahri have 52%+ winrate since release checks*: 51.22%, last time 52%+ was in 8.19 which is 5 month ago

Yasuo can't even engage in team fights tornado cc's multiple targets, then chunk half of their hp with an unavoidable ult.

Malix Farwin3 votes

OP is just throwing a temper tantrum because Yasuo is getting nerfed. If i mained Yasuo i would be happy for a nerf to drop his ban rate just like i was with Zoe and how Akali Mains were with Akali.

The fact of the matter is no you do not actually care about playing Yasuo, you care about rather or not he is broken.

Saezio2 votes

people love to hate yasuo. Although I see some of what you are saying comes from the right place. You can't say that masters players "don't know how to counter him" And for the first time in a while now yasuo has such a high winrate in masters. He most certainly needs minor nerfs. But nothing like people suggest. "OMG REMOVE HIS 2 PASSIVES" that's just straight up ignorance

So you created a survey, asked hundreds of yas players/mains and this is where you got your "data" from, because if not you pulled it our of your ass and and cant back up anything your saying with any logistics. Shame

true. He needs a buff. His 'mobility' is particularly problematic. It needs to be way less predictable.

i dont think yasuo needed a buff. he was in an ok spot, but they completely almost ruined yasuo with the nerf. the nerf should be undone. before the nerf i would win some and lose some on yasuo, but since the nerf i refuse to touch him until they undo the nerf because now he feels almost unplayable.

I'm not asking for buffs, but it's annoying to get nerfs because people invest no time in actually learning to counter him and cry for nerfs till he is hit with them. Since you play him, you know how much time you invest every year to relearn him because he is always hit with nerfs or item changes. Then when you finally get good after failing hard for months, they think it's okay to gut him. 20% crit nerf on q is ridiculous. Like how is it fair champions like teemo, who do massive damage and have poison burns, have locked on attacks and require no effort are never gutted, especially with damage levels being what they are, but Yasuo, who has so much to balance, such as ganks, minion agro, positioning, cds, etc, when he is laning, is the one being gutted. So much cringe on riot.
