Darius passive stacks

Currently playing against a Riven and it seems when she uses shield he cant apply stacks. Its something we both have noticed occurring. Anyone else have a similar experience? Or is this an intended interaction?

Have you tried this against other shields?

It's possible they coded it to be applied when the target receives damage, so it won't apply if you don't actually affect their health.

I never did try it against other shields, although your reasoning makes sense. Still sort of a weird interaction.Im curious if it is just darius or if there are other abilities that interact with shields in the same way.
