Jungle has been screwed over by Riot

Let me make one thing perfectly clear. The new jungle has done NOTHING at all except make the old junglers absolute dog bladder (except Lee, because... it's Lee). Period.

Why do we see Warwick, Fiddlesticks, and Nunu then, even though WW was nerfed pretty hard before the actual pre-season and nerfed AGAIN in 4.21? Because they're legit the only junglers that can gank now. Yeah, a Warwick has more gank pressure than an Elise now because by the time Elise hits level 4 WW should be level 6. How sad. :(

It's not like Warwick was exactly bad before pre-season. Shook said, when asked about pre-season, "only thing that changed about jungle is now junglers have a harder time and Warwick is suddenly viable." I agree to all of that, except the part where Warwick wasn't viable before pre-season. He was viable, just not more than the other junglers (lolking my ranked win/loss with warwick for more info).

I'm mad because I was a godbless Warwick before pre-season, but nerds keep banning him. Plus he's pretty bad after those nerfs, but he's like the only champion (and Lee) that can both farm and gank. Fiddle and Nunu (like other sustain junglers) are pretty bad at ganks and have to wait until teamfights to use their ults which is when they become viable.

I mean really, this is why junglers that aren't Lee or WW just sit at mid all day; they can do literally nothing in their jungle for fear of getting counterjungled or straight up getting executed. Also, Riot is completely disregarding new players here. Without runes or masteries, I have a LOT of difficulty using my "limitless sustain" as a Fiddle or a Nunu. I can't even use WW or Lee because I'd have to recall at level 2. The old jungle was hard enough without runes, but this?

Plus, if I start off the wrong skill at level 1 (for instance, enemy counterjunglers me and I need to max fear to get out) my jungle is over. I need to sit at mid for level 2 or I'm gonna die to gromp. Keep in mind, I can only sustain infinitely as Fiddle and Nunu because I know what I'm doing (ex. know which skills to use when. If you drain first as Fiddle without losing hp first, you can't solo your buff). For newbie junglers, you might as well get executed 5 times then attempt a terrible level 1 gank and die. Btw, when I'm spectating level 5 friends, both the junglers are just downright feeding everywhere and the jungler with the better laner pretty much always ends up winning.

tl;dr version: Make the jungle easier and fix the god awful champions that are jungling instead of changing the entire jungle itself.

I play Hec / Naut / Xin / Yi in the jungle just fine. Honestly don't play Lee or WW. I love Fid, but he's a situational pick.

OP - I'm wondering if you're building your champs wrong runes/mastery wise or if your clear path is off. I main Sejuani Amumu Rammus and all of them are fine in the new jungle (I love the new jungle). Was just coaching an Elise player who didn't know that his spiderlings could tank the new jungle for him (and that his W provided sustain). There's a bunch of nitty gritty mechanical stuff like that which helps you stay healthy in the new jungle. Happy to take a look at what you're doing and give some tips.

I played amumu yesterday and went 19/8/38 while still having a Sunfire Cape and Frozen Heart. I also did 10k more damage than anybody else in the game. I know how to play junglers and how to adapt to new content (no matter how god-awful it is), but again, I'm talking about early invades where both junglers usually max their CC move and get their ass handed to them by jungle mobs.

Your problem is solved by wards. Easy!

Elise is a female, not a male.

There are 2 main problems:

1.) The cooldown on camps is much to high

2.) The sustain on jungle items is HORRIBLE.

-> Falling back means you're useless -> Jungler you weren't top notch before are completely ruined -> Top lane decides the outcome of your jungle. If your toplaner looses the enemy will take your camps and extremely deny you.

You DO realize that jungling is a bit of an advanced role and that new players, or level 30s without full time pages, aren't actually supposed to be trying it right? If the jungle were able to be handled without runes there would be nothing to stop most junglers walking out of their first clears with 70 or 80% of their health intact. Because there is no lane opponent to worry about in the jungle the monsters hit much harder to compensate.

Tl;Dr don't jungle if you don't have runes and masteries

To reply to your tl;dr, Riot can't simply screw over new players. They have no runes or masteries unless they pay through the nose for them with USD. Period. It's unfair for Riot to discriminate such players.

Riot isn't screwing over new players. They're gating them until they've learned the necessary skills to be able to handle jungling and banking.

I know have to wonder as well whether or not you realize that runes can't be bought with RP, and neither can masteries. The only way to get masteries is by leveling up, and runss by playing the game for IP.

As in, learning how to play while you do so. It isn't discrimination, its structured progression.

This woild be mostly valid except for the humorous point that jungle Teemo is now a legitimate option. That kind of derails everything.

wow someone that agrees with me on the fact that lee does not fully control the jungle.

I know that there are patterns to tank the new jungle. But again, why are we buffing ranged champions even more by giving them tank patterns? I'm aware Elise and the other junglers can tank, but there are several problems with this: a) range advantage b) not friendly to new players.

Plus I don't care how good you are mechanically. If you're playing Nautilus, Sejuani, Amumu, Rammus, or Hecarim and you ranked up the wrong skill due to an invade or just a plain missclick, good luck taking your second camp. At that point, you're screwed and have to leech exp from either top or mid, neither of whom will be pleased by your misplay.
