Why double abilities for Thresh?
I don't think thresh is too powerful or anything. I never really have too much trouble dealing with him, but I was just wondering, why does all of his abilities have secondary effects? I normally hear people complain about his overloaded kit and really, some of the stuff he has he doesn't really need and could be focused into his uniqueness instead of making him an all around do everything champion.

Example 1: Why does flay have an AA steroid? Flay is already a very powerful ability by itself, why does Thresh need this ability? All it does is allows him to poke with AA sometimes as well as poke supports. Is thresh a poke support? Not really, I mean sure it lets him build AD as a gimmick but does he really need this tacted on to Flay? I would rather see the slow strengthened or maybe just have it deal more damage as an ability allowing him to better engage or peel with the ability.

Example 2: Why does dark passage shield? This is kind of his iconic ability and I get they want it to be part of his identity but with that huge CD I almost never see it used as a shield like how other supports use it. 9/10 times I see it used to pick up souls from afar, pull someone out of danger, or pull someone in for a gank. Let's be honest, that in itself is really powerful! This is what makes Thresh the play making master! Honestly, why not just get rid of the shield but lower the CD on the ability so that it can be used more often?

Example 3: Why does Death Sentence have a built in CDR of 3 seconds for every time it hits any target? I mean, the ability is already very powerful. 1.5 second ranged stun at level 1, you can choose to dash in or not too, and you can take people along with you with Dark Passage. Does it really need a way to reduce the CD too?
Again, I don't really mind thresh as he is now. I can however see where people are coming from about his overloaded kit. Everything but his ult has a secondary effect (although that 550 damage +100% ap is pretty ridiculous for damage in a tanky support, even without infinite AP and Armor scaling). A lot of it doesn't even seem that necessary to me and some of it could be focused more into his identity as an Engage/tank support instead of him being an engage/peel/poke/shielding/tank support.
