All champs unlocked

Dodging locks the champ you had in without the ability to trade or reroll.

I wonder why Riot is so stubborn or lacks so much common sense. Common sense, for example, tells you that any new champion released must be unavailable for ranked for at least 1 week or 2 weeks. In order to avoid ARAM-only accounts and so much dodging, as well as to truly embrace the concept of randomness all champs should be unlocked. History has told us it takes them a fucking long time to even recognize their failures. Their company is either run by stubborn youngsters or grumpy blind old people.

What a way to ruin the gamemode.

What a way to ruin the gamemode.

You mean by making it actually full random and killing any incentive to dodge?

I don't have all that many champions but I still regret unlocking a very large portion of them. Having to deal with getting all possible champions is a complete nightmare that would ruin the game mode utterly. It's a personal gripe. I understand not everyone feels the same way, which is fine.

Your other point though doesn't truly solve anything. Dodging would still occur, just for different or extra reasons. If dodging would lock in your own champion then people would see it as a means of keeping their good champions rather then as a punishment, people would dodge games where they perceive their teammates champions to be terrible but their own champion worth keeping, this gives them a chance to get a better team while not having to give up their good champion.

It might even increase the frequency of dodges, since the old reason for dodging may still exist. Sure if you get a crappy champion you can't get rid of it by dodging yourself, but you might still get rid of it by someone else dodging, if not in this match then maybe the next one. So lets just wait as long as possible for someone to dodge, and if no one does then the person with the crappy champion still will in the hope of someone else dodging the next match and maybe freeing them from their bad champion. Depends on how stuck you are with a champion for dodging.

And that's not even going into all the shit this can potentially do to que times and match balance. It's just not a great idea, I don't think it will have the desired effect you're going for.

ARAM only accounts rune the game mode.

Yes, and? Instead of fixing that your plan is to just ruin the game mode completely for people like myself. Don't punish people like me for what other people do.

But why do you even give a response like that? I'm just trying to help you by explaining why your idea can have unintentional consequences, or has the potential to completely backfire and all you have to say for yourself is "ARAM only accounts rune the game mode." as if that somehow justifies going nuclear on the entire ARAM playerbase.

Are there no alternatives? Aren't there any real solutions? Have you considered that what you desire from this game mode might just not be attainable?

You don't like playing all random

You like playing a small group of champs that have an unfair advantage over other champs.

Valderis Vandala1 votes

I like playing ARAM as it exists today, despite whatever grievances I have with it. (though not sure about the latest update)

As for champs that have an unfair advantage over other champs, I'm not sure what you mean, don't all champions have things about them that make then unique? Or are you accusing me of having an ARAM account? I already implied that I don't. If that's not what you're trying to say then I have no idea what you are trying to imply here.

I also don't see what this has to do with anything, we obviously have different ideas of what we want out of this game mode, which is fine, we can both advocate for our our own view points and tug on Riot's ears and heartstrings to get what we desire. Our 'discussion' for lack of a better word already serves this purpose, but its not really going anywhere, don't you have anything interesting to say? Any good ideas for the game mode that might not backfire? Anything to refute or rebute or whatever in my earlier explanation of why your idea might be a bad one?

What an odd way to spell "fix".
