Last Karma Changes: good direction
Here are the latest changes
Gathering Fire (passive)
CD refund on spell hit increased to 2/2.5/3 at level 1/7/13 from 2 at all levels.
CD refund on basic attack increased to 1/1.25/1.5 at level 1/7/13 from 1 at all levels
Focused Resolve (W)
AP ratio increased to 90% from 60%
Can now target monsters in addition to champions
** Renewal (R+W)**
No longer adds 75/150/225/300 (+60% AP) additional damage
New Effect: Increases root duration (if triggered) by .75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds
** Inspire (E)**
Cooldown lowered to 10/9/8/7/6 seconds from 10 seconds at all ranks
Mana cost lowered to 60/65/70/75/80 from 60/70/80/90/100.
Shield amount decreased to 80/110/140/170/200 from 80/120/160/200/240
** Defiance (R+E)**
- No longer deals 60/140/220/300 (+60% AP) damage
- Now increases primary shield by 30/90/150/210 (+30% AP)
- AoE shield amount increased to 50% of the primary target's shield from 30/70/100/150
I think we are going in the right direction. The AP scaling on W is definitely a good change, and should compensate the lost bonus damage on R.W (actually I believe it's a really minor buff to the total dmg she deals in a game with W / R.W )
What I would add to make it completely cool, is a DMG reduction debuff. Right now, Karma gets punished harshly for a broken R'd tether as she doesn't root for the longer duration and she's not dealing the previous bonus dmg on attachment, which actually behaves like a not R'd W (except for the first heal). To alleviate this, I'd like to see: ** Renewal (R+W)**
- New Effect: Reduces the damage of the target by from 5/7.5/10/12.5/15% to 15% increasing over the duration of the tether link. Once the root is triggered the damage reduction buff is removed.
This changes absolutely nothing in all the situations in which the enemy is trying to escape from the tether and not outputting damage while doing so, but gives a small advantage in skirmishes and short duration duels. This allows karma to help a supported ADC win trades even when he's a bit behind, and shouldn't change too much the situation when her ADC is winning, as usually the enemy ADC is not staying still to get rooted, but he should be escaping and thus not much dmg gets mitigated by the debuff.
I feel her R.E could have a minor buff, but I have no idea what could that be. Maybe make it remove all slows on the shielded champions, or only the main target?
BTW, you are moving in a good direction with the new changes @Ricklessabandon !! I guess you are looking a bit into the feedback the community is giving you. I really wish this Karma changes don't end up like Cassiopeia's one (as I don't find playing her fun anymore now)
