One of the most frustrating elements in League of Legends
This is an element that has often made me contemplate just leaving the match. It's made players flat out rage quit, it gives negative attention to yourself that often is made worse by angry teammates. And that is losing lane vs an oppressive top laner who completely negates the safety of your tower.
There's usually a rule to the game that everyone pretty much follows. You both are even until one gains an advantage, then the one at a disadvantage farms under tower to hold relevancy until they can farm up back to that even zone again or until they can get into a favorable fight, or... sometimes they never gain relevancy.
Knowing that you're at a disadvantage is frustrating enough, normally because you messed up in a way that caused your death in the first place. However, when you're playing vs a champion who defies the rule... it's infuriating. For example, Tryndamere. If you're losing hard to this guy, chances are, you have absolutely nothing to do. You can't go to other lanes. You can't lane swap. You can't go under your tower. Your jungler can't help you because he's strong enough to 2v1 you and win and you can't afk because you'll often be punished. So, what do you do? You pretty much have to walk back up top lane and pretty much set yourself for dying again.
This is not often a situation that happens a lot. And yes, it's often a situation that is normally your own fault. But when it does happen? It's one of the worst feelings you can ever experience.
Imagine, you know you can't fight this champion, you can't go under your tower, you're going 0/3, you're 2 levels behind them, you try and farm under tower but they simply dive you and ult, so every time you go up, you add another death to your KDA, you can't go into the other lanes because you'll make THEM lose their much needed EXP, your teammates are calling out the report for feeding, you can't say anything because you ARE feeding, and your 0/3 has now become an 0/5.
In my entire time of playing League of Legends this happened to me twice. The first time was when I was playing Garen vs Darius (who at the time was Garen's WORST POSSIBLE MATCH UP) And the other time was when I was laning vs an AP Gangplank.... that was a god awful day for me.
What about you guys? Have you had moments like this? Where you literally had two options, walk into the lane and die or afk. And if you did have a moment like that, how did you cope with it?
