So I'm absolutely trash at CSing, and I really don't like doing it either.

So when I'm forced to do anything but Support or Jungle, who're good champions for someone like me who literally can't stand to be poking at minions under pressure from the enemy laner? It sounds interesting, but to me it's just boring - I'd much prefer to fight the enemy laner, not the creeps.

as a player who also mains jungle as secondary supports...

you wont ever have to?

i mean if u get any role... and u ask for support... they WILL trade... if they don't... then one dodge in 500 games won't hurt you much

TBF it sounds you should be focusing in another game if you don't want to learn and use one of the game's core mechanics.

Good game design decrees that everyone should have a playstyle that fits them - including the people like me who don't like to CS much. Thankfully, there is a playstyle (or three: jungle, support and waveclear-mage) for it.

CSing is a big part of the game. Yes there's champs with great laning power and can smash the enemy, but you also need CS to keep up with your build and not be useless later on. HotS and Battlerite are good mobas that don't need CSing at all. Or just play aram.

Understandable really. I also kinda suffered managing CS at the Beginning, but I forced myself to learn it since my favorite Role alongside Supp is ADC, where its quite important.

Stick to Supp/Jung, and CS will almost never be a Prob

I know this isn't contributing to the conversation technically, but do you ever get autofilled anywhere else? Or do you only play blind? Because I always put down 1.support 2.mid and I get support 99/100 times.

As far as your question, I like mages who don't try to CS so much as just wipe out a wave at once. So Anivia is great post level 6. Xerath, Cass and Syndra are also great.

I'd personally recommend mid lane, and either go with a heavy roaming assassin or a mage capable of massive wave clear.

For roaming you have champs like Talon, Katarina, or Zed who can jump walls and get places real quick with their large burst damage. CSing will still be important, but less so as you can focus on giving your bot and top laners an easier lane, and their own focus on CS can carry things forward. I would recommending learning how to freeze a wave at the very least, so you can force your lane opponent to move away from their tower and give you a better chance to kill them. You don't want to roam with your opponent alive after all.

For wave clear you have champions like Anivia, Xerath, and Azir who don't have to sit there and last hit, they can just force the entire wave down and either siege a tower to open things up, or roam around themselves, though they often have less kill potential than an assassin.

Keep in mind I'm a top lane main, and most of my knowledge about mid lane is from interacting with it as a top laner, rather than playing it myself. Specific champions that are good change with each patch, but the basic strategy ideas here are what you should look at.

I'm familiar with the concepts of clearing, besieging, freezing, rotating, etc. etc. but I just don't like to individually CS the minions. Thankfully, suggestions on who to play were posted - and they're extremely helpful.

As another note if you get stuck with Top pick Quinn. The very early game will be dull, but the moment you get your opponent's tower down you turn into a massive roaming threat. You don't have the ability to jump walls like the other suggestions for roaming do, but raw speed means a lot.

Good luck out there!

Xerath especially is good at waveclear. 10/10 would recommend.

Play nasus or Veigar and learn to CS with them :p

Otherwise pick Sivir for ADC, and any waveclear Mage top/mid for the ability to disregard last hitting mostly.

Pantheon, Zed and Jarvan IV all have passive which make them able to usually last hit minions with ease. Annie, Vladimir, and Talon all have abilities that can be used to last hit minions as well.

You could always get skilled at using a support item in a non support lane, and letting your minions last hit the other minions. The gold from a item 3092 is usually worth it if you spend the early point of the game only proccing its gold and ignoring minions (Ofc if you kill minions early, it results in gargantuan cooldowns on the item, and you'll never get the quest done, meaning you can't get gold either way)

Doing so might also make you a better cser.

I do it on Ahri for example. Extremely strong since focusing on champs means Ahri can roam bot to try to gain gold through ganks, rather than lane farming into a tunnel.
