Was jungle Graves supposed to be a thing?

Or was it an unintended byproduct of his rework?

Unintended. Graves was always meant to be the 'tanky ADC' and has always had a decent jungle, but he was never meant to be the meta jungler that he became.

Unintended roles aren't uncommon. Look at Poppy support.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I go hunting with a shotgun so it doesn't bother me.

When they decided to make his autos not go through the creep wave it basically ended his possible bot lane days, so they gave him jungle mob knockback and maybe they were hoping people would take him there. I think they saw huge potential in his tankiness getting better thematic use top/jg than as adc.

to be fair, body blocking basic attacks should totally be a thing. Like a global support passive when you have a T3 support item.

You can already do that by sitting on the creeps with your hitbox so they have to click you. I don't think autos should be deniable any other way, since it would make certain champs basically unplayable due to the countering they'd receive in game.

Thats just abusing whats broken, and i mean being able to stand in front of, say, a jinx rocket to keep your ADC safe. Making basic attacks less of a 'right click to win' and giving ranged champions counterplay they flat dont have.

It's called resists and cc. They aren't 'right click to win.' By that account you're default saying that standing in front of your tower should stop the adc's basic attacks too, and that standing behind minions would also block their basic attacks. Can't have one part of the mechanic and not the other parts. Everyone in that meta would need to go melee form to do damage since they can't hit their intended target safely. Thus full bruiser comps.

Basic attacks are meant to be free---targeted---damage. The game is balanced around that existing. If they weren't targetted then litterally no team would have an adc since they are squishy and you could then just block their dps.

that.... is actually a great idea! a way to make ADCs less neccessary without nerfing them!

who cares that was his disavatge to using him, however he has the best cs clear out of ever adc in the game by far

LostFr0st1 votes

Safest waveclear is more accurate; not the best waveclear though. Besides, why take him bot lane where you have to cs and might get ganked when you can take him to any other carry role and get fed by murdering stuff.Graves
