Why is Kha's early jungle just so hilariously bad!?

Why? WHYYYYY? I don't think I've struggled as hard on any other champion. It must be some sort of fine art, because I end up having to back after about 4-5 camps. And if I get a bad leash, it's over. I'll sometimes die to the red/blue if that happens. Even if i get a good leash I feel like I need to micro perfectly to get out of the next camp with any sort of decent health level. Meanwhile on other champions I can just stand there and AFK while smacking the monster and be fine.

Like...is it just part of his kit or something? Like if you don't get an early kill and get some extra AD just fuck you? Get rekt in the jungle? That's his design? Cause it feels like it.

The funny thing is...they could fix it so easily. SO EASILY. Just make his W heal for more vs. monsters. Would that be so game-breaking? I mean...really...just that small little change would make things so much better.

You wanna talk about a weak early game? Play Eve. She is literally the weakest champ in the beginning, and can only clear one side of the jungle if you don't play her perfectly -- and forget ganking someone with more than half health. :P

Because it really isn't. Start Talisman 3 pots and start bot side. The mana sustain from talisman can sustain you enough for a few camps until you pick up blue buff. And after blue you can always do scuttle for more hp then be nearly full hp for a gank. Either that or you can finish clearing your jungle. I have not had any problems sustaining in the jungle. If you feel like you still can't sustain enough then you can always pick up the biscuits mastery. It also helps to run the 2% spell vamp/lifesteal mastery. His clears are relatively healthy if you kite properly, land all your heals, and grab scuttles. And just to note this is running 12/18/0. If you REALLY feel like none of that is enough, then run some points into resolve until you're comfortable.

4 to 5 camps? a nunu has to back after 2 camps now, consider yourself lucky you have the right build XD

amumu will die to 2 camps

basically only the high sustain or high damage champs stayed in jungle properly

A level 6 with jungle item completed, only a elise or lee who land their full combos are capable of outdueling kha,zix with evolved q.

no one else can do it not even shitwick

kha is god of jungle duels

Remove "early jungle" from the title and you have it.

I agree with you Kha'zix needs some changes, not -5 mana on his q and some armor...

But his early clear shouldnt be that bad, start gromp side cuz isolation and make sure to clear the small monsters in each camp first. When you hit 3 you need to take a 2nd point in w because the heal is a lot stronger.

because champs with insane power-spikes should have shitty early games

I've been going with scaling armor seals and scaling magic resist glyphs instead of the safer flat armor and flat CDR on Kha and still getting 700 gold on my first clear for upgraded machete. I recommend you try some of these things to take less damage in the jungle.

  1. Autoattack move away from the melee monsters as you fight them, especially if you have red buff.
  2. Take machete if you start on blue side, take talisman if you start on red side.
  3. Start your W unless you take gromp first. Put an additional point in W at level 3 and then go back to your traditional max order.
  4. Stay away from combat smites. Wards are too hard to come by to pass up on Tracker's Knife and the buffs you get from smiting monsters are actually more impactful then the nerfed to hell blue and red smites.
  5. Wait until the last possible second to drink a potion. The health restore you get from killing a large monster scales with your missing health, so you should never be drinking a potion unless you fall below 25% health.
  6. If you want to heal up a LOT before taking your buff camp, do the two small camps on the side you start and then go to scuttle. If you don't use your Q, you can get healing from 2-3 hits of your W before killing the crab.

Quite a few of these principles can be applied to any champion in the jungle. Happy smiting!

A lot of Junglers are having a harder time now that the machete isn't as good. Get Lifesteal Quints and HP Yellows? Idk...Kha has taken a beating, so has Rengar, pretty much any jungler without some form of Sustain or built in stuns/dashes has a harder time kiting camps now

Nekusen12/11/2015, 8:13:20 PM1 votes

because lvl 2/3 Khazix ganks would be op

Flyer Beast12/11/2015, 1:13:11 AM1 votes

Yeah, Khazix Just got buffed but this is a good Idea, what runes and masteries are you using because u shouldn't be dying trying.

Go 6-18-6. AD marks, Armor Seals, Scaling MR Glyphs, Lifesteal Quints.

It's supposed to be about trade offs, like how Sejuani is a really good teamfighter and ganker but she struggles early on in the jungle, especially with her first clear. The problem with Kha is that he's supposed to be weak early on in the jungle as a weakness but he doesn't have enough strengths elsewhere to offset this weakness.
