Why do people think Ekko, Zed and Azir take no skill?

Chris Chiaki··8 votes·6,618 views

This circlejerk is fucking retarded.

I mean they have position a champion and a soldier/shadow/time ghost so they already have to manage two entities at once. Not to mention you have to know have utilize their skills in order such as Azir banana. Trying to manage something while being squishy as fk at a high level is harder then you think regardless of mobility.

But no Jinx takes more skill man. She has one skillshot and use A-move furiously.

People hate Zed because he's incredibly safe. He requires mechanical skill, but less game skill - because his safety allows you to make mistakes and get away with them. That's why people hate him.

I haven't heard of anyone saying Azir doesn't take any skill?

lol i just carried my team and some nida got so salty started saying azir takes less skill than yi and that she will report me for using a noob champ ;dAzir

im sorry, A nidalee said azir takes no skill? She sounds salty as fuck, and sounds like she is one of the parts needed to create Bronzodia

Ekko isn't even live yet. His dmg is pretty absurd though hence him numbers being lowered. Riot will probably lower them one more time before release.

As for Zed, you can be incredibly skilled with him and make some very impressive plays, however you could also be a baddie Zed like myself and still fill your role adequately. Same goes for Azir. You can go way further with those champions by having skill with them, but skill really isn't required so much as basic understanding of their kit and dmg.

First off people say Zed takes no skill due to his complete lack of risk when going all-in. He has a ridiculous amount of damage output and can instantly just jump out of a fight if he needs too, not too mention he's quite difficult to gank without coordination with your own mid laner. He isn't an "easy mode champ" at all, anyone not stupid as fuck knows this, but his mechanic skill requirements are kind of offset by his ridiculous kit, so people claim he's easy to play.

Secondly, I've never heard ANYONE say Azir was easy to play, I've heard people complaining about his damage output, but never about him being easy in the slightest. Whoever said that to you is simply stupid and you should have just muted him instantly cause he's obviously a liability more then anything anyway.

Third, Ekko isn't even out yet, only on the PBEs, so we have no way at all of knowing if he'll be Azir-difficult or Diana-easy until he's live and available for everyone to play. He could for all we know be as brain dead easy as Diana, his kit is similar afterall, or he could be more difficult. No way of saying for certain, so don't even bother arguing about it with anyone, just a waste of time right now.

Finally, every ADC is easy to play, anyone claiming they're difficult is obviously just an ADC main who doesn't want to admit he plays easy champs.

Having experience with Ekko, I can say he's rather difficult, but easy to jump into once you get his style. His ult creates an entire new mindset though. You have to remember how long you've stayed in each place four seconds ago, to time your ult into W's and the like.

Yeah I can see how his kit would be on the more difficult side to handle in game, I'm more just worried his damage output will offset the accuracy required for his abilities.

Like Diana, she's not a super easy champ when just looking at her skills, but in application due to her stupidly high damage potential she can screw up her combos in any number of ways and still implode targets and live through engages with that stupid shield.

I just hope Ekko has a reasonable damage output so his combos can be the main focus, cause those look fun and rewarding to pull off, but only if his damage isn't so high only half the abilities are required like with Diana.

Ekko's damage output is currently very high, but it's getting looked at. He also shreds towers for some reason. Probably also should get looked at.

Assassin hate is real. People already whining about Ekko. Just wait and see when Ekko hits to live servers this forum will be full of QQ, nerf, broken threads.

It's funny because the people claiming Azir takes no skill plays champs like Annie and Veigar.

Mobility makes a champ easy.

Can't wait to see these salty Silvers when Ekko is released.

He doesnt take skill to be a lane bully thats the problem every you listed is a lane bully by nature thus they can have no idea what theyre doing but still win lane simply because theyre champ has a strong kit

Ekko I dont know about.

Azir is high skill floor, high skill cap, using him is a constant learning experience and very rewarding to outplay opponents.

Zed is low skill floor, sort of high skill cap (?) He has extremely safe assassination (although a little bit less because of the recent patch) and his basics arent really hard to pick up. He can be used very skillfully, but in reality, it's sort of like putting a Lamborghini against a honda civic. Like yeah, the Lambo takes skill to drive, but do you really want to brag about the advantage you had in the first place?

I don't really care whether Zed or Ekko is easy to play. Having a "get out of jail free" card is easier than not having one.

If Ekko fucks up his positioning, starts losing a bad fight, or gets caught out, he hits R and screams "DO OVER!" I mean...I sure wish I had a fucking "do over" button so I could make bronze mistakes and not pay for them.

It would also be real nice to have a shadow teleport for when I'm barely at river and Udyr runs in from my jungle entrance fast enough to break the goddam sound barrier. Just saying it would be easier to teleport under my turret than to die every time Udyr's on the screen and I'm not in the exact position to survive.

Being succesfull with Ekko and Zed doesnt need much skill.

Setting up some plays with Ekko is not hard, it just needs a few games until you learn how much time your spells need. And the rest of Ekkos Kit is just stright forward. No idea why this Champ should be hard in way.

And Zed? I still wait for the game against Zed I can say, 'oh wow, this Zed was so good with his spells - my death was deserved.*' Even in Diamond Zeds are making tons of mistake but his super forgiving kit saves their butt over and over again... just a frustrating experience.

*For understanding: I dont say every death against Zed is undeserved - but agianst a Zed you just dont die because he was good, you die because you took one step to much from your tower or missed your CC.

AZIR on the other hand! Well this guy requires LOTS of games and its always funny to watch someone who just learns him. =P

** PS: Actually League doesnt have a SINGLE Champion who is actually 'hard' to play - its always about good decisionmaking AurelionSol Swain or reflexes/musclememory Zed Leblanc or positioning Ashe Azir. Talking about XYZ needs so much skill or ZYX is a noob Champ just shows a player doesnt really understand what League is about. League is some kind of Rapidplay, moving a single figure is easy, playing the game successfully is the only hard thing to do. **

As somebody who's gone on the PBE and played Ekko, he's broken af. Like, take release Xin Zhao, and give it more mobility, and it's on that level of broken in my opinion :/. Either way, Azir takes a butt load of skill to play compared to the other two you listed. Zed if you want to do outplays and flashy stuff takes some skill, but it's not really skill when I just jump on and press e and Q and push an auto attack in lategame and you pop instantly for 1200 damage. Ekko requires more micro management then skill, you need to have a lot of awareness compared to other champions. That's all I really have to say.

I been getting called a noob because I'm playing as azir that he is a AP Yi and takes no skill but I'm sick of it same with zed he can be good but you have to really master him and azir to go anywhere with them higher up
