So how do you actually counter a stealth champion?

They strike anytime from anywhere and usually deal 1.5k damage in 2 seconds. Champions that I have in mind are:

Shaco Rengar Twitch Evelynn

And no, pink ward doesn't really help. They cover only a small area of the map and closer I put them to my lane, sooner they gets destroyed.  - (plus, I can only put 1 pink for 2 possible sides to be ganked from)

Also, why tower don't have the true sight on champions anymore? That's so illogical.  - (or they do, they're not doing a good job)

It's not as bad as it was before

and they do have true sight

Smite raptors. Find enemy ward. Gain true sight.

Honestly, none of them have hard CC, and you can counter them doing this, but they will get the jump on you most likely. HOWEVER. Warding about halfway down river or getting the scuttle crab, map awareness of who is missing and where people are (like putting a deep ward into their jungle to find them on their way), etc. Vision counters stealth, but sometimes you need to see them coming before they stealth.

If you really think that pink wards do not do much against stealth units, then you're completely WRONG buddy. They have quite a lot to contribute for you in specific well placed locations. Specifically for Evelynn since she has true stealth and doesn't have to activate an ability for stealth. Placing them in strategic positions always work simply the same as normal wards. In fact best time to still get some kind of vision on even Evelynn when in jungle is ward closer to her camps because you'll see her dueling the camps and you'll know where she is and which direction she begins to head and when to expect her.

Wards do A LOT buddy. Positioning your wards properly will keep you safe.

Also if you're not near turret and Shaco, Twitch, Akali, Rengar use their ability to stealth just drop a pink ward immedietly, if your near a bush when they do that, put it there you'll gain vision of them and any wards in that bush as well. You will immedietly see them, so always carry pink wards on you when your enemy team has 1 or more stealth based champions. Too many times I see people failing to have a pink ward against Akali's and don't use them on her shroud.

There are 3 things you can do.

  1. Use pink wards

  2. take smite instead of your ignight. Smite is better/same anyway depending on the item you put it with.

and most importantly...

  1. Learn to play better and counter them. The only one you spoke of that's not Squishy is Rengar and you didn't even mention Khazix. Every champion in the game has a counter. Well ecp a full tank nasus with 2000 stacks, but every other champion has a counter.

PS: Evelynn , Shaco could honestly use some buffs, just to make the viable in lane. Problem is they won't get them because #1 everyone hates clowns, #2 they hate shaco more than clowns, and finally #3 they have stealth

Touchy Touchy aren't we? Can't be friendly can we? Alright were a decrepid human race who have to treat other people we meet as piles of crap when someone's trying to be helpful and actually give feedback. But okay, if you don't like the feedback people give you, then don't ask questions.

Lane control and map awareness the best cures. Dont shove your lane unless you need to or you have a good idea where the stealth champ is will help the most. Even stealthed champs will have a hard time ganking if your are not pushed past the middle of the river. Deep wards are also helpful if you can get them down safely, because they cant be stealthed while clearing camps.

The best counterplay is good positioning. You're safe under tower. You're safe with your team. You're safe behind a pink. Don't be solo farming a side lane if they have a knifecat and you don't know where he is.

Assuming you don't know how to do that reliably, alternative counterplay is picking a tanky champion, or a duelist champion. Jax thinks knifecat is adorable.

Well, thanks bro. Quite helpful info. I am one of those guys, who's better focusing on one single thing, rather than on many things at once. Well, I gotta work even harder to make "watching a minimap every few seconds" a habit, but it's not that easy though. At the same time I have to watch the laning opponent as well as properly last hit every possible minion.

About the Lux snare, from my recent games I can assure you, that once somebody jump at your face, there's no escape. It's nearly impossible to bind them if they're glued to you, as well her slow movement speed won't help you get away. That's why I've been testing out the Frost Queen's Claim and it seems to be quite efficient in most of the situations...

put wards at their jungle camps if they're the enemy jungler. you can see which camps are taken, which aren't taken, so you know which side of the map to expect the gank to come from.

be aware of power spike timings. if your jungler is level 6, then expect their rengar to ult-gank a lane. watch your lane opponent very carefully for tells that rengar is coming, they'll usually give it away by going more aggressive than before or moving into a position to bait a "good" trade for you.

if you're against a shaco or evelynn just farm under tower and win the 5v4 later on because a shaco/eve without kills is useless in the later stages of the game.
