People have bought stuff in that span of time because it seemed like they'd eventually bring back soloqueue as promised. Now it seems that they won't, and many people have ended up spending money on something under false pretenses.

But DID they give a ETA? You have to think outside of the mind of a child. We have been expecting patches, and fixes for time with Riot. Most of the time they tell us a predict time frame but never once have they gave us an EXACT date. Even if they DID, they reserve ALL rights to change the date. UNLESS you are preordering something you can report them all you want and the BB won't even think twice of your complaint. They placed nothing in stone for you

Yet he is acting like a child. The key word here is ESTIMATED its a guess and I'm pretty sure they said subject to changes as well. So before you start ragging him about it. You obviously do not understand logic.
If I buy a skin/champion I use money to buy the skin/champion. Riot promises that I will be able to use that skin/champion. I complete the transaction and get the skin/champion, thus Riot delivered what they advertised.
But ok, why shouldn't they implement SoloQ and watch how all those idiots come back on the boards complaining about EVEN LONGER queue times. Most of the supports (which are the actual problem for such long queue times) will play Dynamic Queue because it's way better to trust a friend as ADC than a random guy that might flame them.

I preordered Metal Gear Solid 5 Phantom pain and everytime I was told it was coming it was pushed back THREE TIMES for almost a year. Was it false advertising? No, I still got my game, I still paid the same regardless.
In YOUR case YOU said you purchased a SKIN. YOU GOT YOUR SKIN. You didn't pay for preorder of the next patch or fix.
No where in his words he said "Pay now and you are going to get the next latest and greatest patch in three weeks."
