By that I mean that you can select items, and queue them so that when you back, it auto purchases. Maybe add a notification when you have enough gold to buy them.
Less time in the shop looking around for something, more time in lane.
*Ding! you have enough gold for Phage, 2 health pots and a pink" back you land at the fountain and its auto purchases them, and TP back to lane.
you can add/remove items from the queue at any time.
or.... you can make a custom item page for your champion and right click the item while tping= also no time lost

If you know the item you want, you can search it, or know where it is in the shop... Typically I just find one of the items that builds into what I want because they are cheap and on the first page... takes like 2 seconds. Buying is not so difficult that someone should have to resort to auto-purchasing.
Didn't they change item sets a few patches back to follow our accounts wherever they go so they're actually reliable now?
I think a notification would just be a really bad idea, new players may start to think that the ding is when they have to go back and stay on a sliver of health under a tower :( Not that it isn't a cool idea.
