Was reading a thread, where an individual had jokingly stated that riot wouldn't implement solo queue because dynamic queue couldn't survive. After thinking upon it more though it doesn't sound right. If we are going based off what the rioters are assuming "the majority prefer dynamic queue to solo queue" what is the point of not bringing back solo queue? If riot is truly correct, then we should expect dynamic queue to still thrive in this game if they were to release solo queue. There is something more occurring here than that the two can't coexist together. In my opinion i believe its coming down to profit, as they have been pruning the amount of game modes viable. Any thoughts?

It splits the queue up. If there are 100 people playing Dynamic Q and 50 switch over to Solo, there is a huge reduction and it negatively influences matchmaking time and quality. Even if only 20 move over, it's still a huge reduction and the same problems occur on the SoloQ side. Either a trivial amount move over to SoloQ and SoloQ has shit matchmaking etc, or a non-trivial amount move over and DyanmicQ has shit matchmaking.

Ideally there would be large enough number to support both. The problem is that DynamicQ reduces the number of possible matches already. E.g., For every 5 man-premade there would have been 5 solo.
