Do you think that Riot would ever consider balancing LCS and the main game separately?

It seems really difficult for them to balance both things at once. The most recent example of this is probably the fact that Yuumi got another nerf this patch, despite her low winrate in soloq. The fact of the matter is some champions just aren't ALLOWED to do well for most of us, just because they work well in LCS! So yeah, I think they should consider balancing them separately to keep things fair for everyone.

Imagine thinking that Yuumi is somehow weak in soloQ xD

I mean, her winrate is 46% and tier lists put her at a D rank? I mean, she may be annoying to play against but she's definitively weak in her performance. But this isn't even about her. It's about champs like Kalista and Azir and Galio

Lemme guess, same tierlists that put Ez in D? Yeah, you should ignore these.

Azir is strong in soloQ(if you are good player) and this little nerf won't really change anything.

Galios kit is mistake on it's own, still underrated pick into ap melee champs tho.

And Kalista with her dash as long as you can AA/Q and aoe knockup is something you don't want to be casualy playable in soloQ.

(playing against any otp of really hard, and by community called weak, champ is enough to understand why these champs should be locked behind disgusting learning curve for casual players).

If it's about these champs, say it in your thread, Yuumi is strong pick.

winrates don't matter. akali always has low win rate and she's broken

Would you care to elaborate? I'll admit I don't know much about Akali, but if she was broken, why wouldn't she win?

because she is "annoying" and apparently "annoying" somehow means the champion is strong [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Real sports can do this because they are a set of rules that anyone can work with. LoL cannot do this because it is a confidential, proprietary, closed-source implementation that is its own rule set. To have multiple sets of rules for e.g. basketball, all you have to do is buy your kid a plastic basketball hoop while the pros do whatever they want; the two setups don't interfere with one another. To have multiple sets of rules for LoL, Riot would have to administer and operate multiple versions of LoL.

It's a service, not a sport, so it can't do what sports can.

They've definitely considered it. We've already seen and still have differences in champions between game modes. I have zero doubt that we will one day see slight differences between champions on the tournament client and the regular client. I don't know if it would be a good idea, though.

What differences?

I would like to see "pro rules", and I think that we'd have a better game to play, in general.

The things that make a game interesting to watch, are often not the same things that make a game fun to play.
