Now that I think about it, why do we reward CS which is so easy to obtain over kills?

For me all this does is allow champions like Vayne and Yasuo to do badly then just farm back up, after giving it serious though I really wish kills were rewarded more than CS or at least if CS wasn't as easy to obtain considering the value it holds.

Because CS is the best way to determine your skill level as a sololaner. A good top or mid player knows how to manage waves; when to push and how to freeze the wave at that perfect spot in front of tower. A good toplaner will be at one end of the lane on minute then have hit is power spike and be pushed and killing you within 10 seconds. Your micro can be amazing, but you'll still lose to someone who manages the waves better than you.

its a basic fundamental of the game

without cs you get no gold for your items to kill things with... you get no experience so you level up through the game to make your champ have more power and access to more abilities

the game isnt a fight/kill game its not street fighter, mortal combat , halo, cod, and so on

its a strategy based game built around objectives

who controls objectives controls the map and controls the game and wins a hell of a lot more then those who dont

Because despite how people compare K/D/A, the game doesn't isn't actually based on kills, but rather objectives.

CS is a task to keep you occupied in the game, imagine League without it.

I think it's sort of a bait to encourage fights. Both you and your enemy are in lane, so you can get gold and exp to win teamfights and proceed to take objectives (which purpose is to win the match).

And people don't group mid to finish the game right off the bat at level 1 because they wouldn't get that far before the other enemies would come to defend, now with some gold and 2-3 levels ahead of your whole team probably still level 1.

Now, since it is meta to be on lane might aswell take that extra mile and try to harass your oponent who's tryna do the same. Instead of passively farm there's gameplay around it.

If there wasn't need to last hit for gold, there would be only exp left to be on lane for. So one would simply sit back?

CS is "easy to obtain" but not guaranteed which makes it important and the difference between elos is reflected on it

I don't have to imagine it.

Because it takes skill and is a reward for dominating your lane? It gives players something to fight over during the laning phase?

What would the laning phase look like if you didn't have to kill minions for cs? It would turn into nothing but a shoving fest with no real reward. If we remove cs as a gold source what would we fill that deficit with that you created?

CS ? Easy to obtain ? I had an ADC Tristana that had 50 CS 35 minutes in and I get garbage allies like this all the time. CS may not be as easy to obtain as you believe. Everyone chases kills, no one chases farm.

1 kill=around 14 minions of gold and denying the enemy player some cs/XP + you get to cs AND get the kill both. 1 Kill results in better farm and being ahead if you play well around kills.

cs actually isn't rewarded at all, you can outfarm your opponent and still have to treat them as an equal

Most times it doesn't.
How many games have you played where either you or a person on your team gets flamed for feeding say 0-3-0 around the 19 min mark but they have around 190 cs and the enemy has only 60 cs. In my opinion kills are my rewarding because cs doesn't tilt people sure items are mostly caused from CS but it's the kills that people only focus on and it tilts them.

Honestly F the cs! Why freeze the lanes in solo Q? So the enemy can roam and kill the unwarded other laners? No, just push the lane afap and make plays yourself around the map.

If cs was not rewarded with gold, people wouldn't cs... it's an important part of the game and is right the way it is imo

Less gold from CS would result in more snowballing.

More gold from kills would result in even more snowballing.

Both together ..

Monkey D Luffy1 votes

Good, because all CS does is trigger snowballing that isn't even deserved

How to make the game even more snowbally 101 - taught by OP

Monkey D Luffy1 votes

Exactly, and it would be deserved, then you wouldn't have people who wen't 0/8 but last hit the minions being stronger.

Slythion1 votes

hardly, any late-game orientated champs would be left in the dust and the game would be composed of only early-game snowball champions where if you make one mistake, they will just stomp everyone for the rest of the game

and if you're lucky, you're team might have one that's doing well as well and then it's a 1v1 or 2v2 with 3-4 enemy minions to farm as well...sounds real fun to me :^)

Monkey D Luffy1 votes

Sounds funner than playing well in the early game then getting stomped by someone who went 1/5 but got good cs and is a "late game champ"

Slythion1 votes

you're kidding right? This season is incredibly snowbally, average game times are so low right now lol

learn to close out games and you wouldn't have this problem, because this game is cancer with how fast everything goes now
