I mained her for a while, but now I dread playing against her, because of her ult. It just does so much damage that to finish off a 2/3 health squishy she can just press R 3 times

The irony is that akali was nerfed really badly 2 years ago and she used to be viable in the Lcs once in a while. You would have loved old akali. Almost double the R range, fast procs of her q when you crescent slash. It was great

Actually akali was almost never banned. I played her all of season 3 as my main and just about never saw a ban. This was during the days kassadin was perms banned. The reason she got a negative spotlight was because Ascension came out and everybody went nuts that she was broken because she excelled at that mode. About 3 weeks later she got all the nerfs.

She is if the ADC bans in 80% of time. She is so sticky late game all she needs is an Rylai/Hextech and your ADC is screwed for real. She Q-Ults into your ADC, then W-Gunblade and then Ults again if needed. You can't CC her as she is sticky and can also escape CC using her W.

yep, I blame her point & click long range ult with 3 charges, at least with a zed you can like flash away for more distance or rocket jump away with tristana but that's impossible vs akali

You also can't cc zed cause he's in and out within 1 second. Akali has to commit.

Akali doesn't have actually skill shots and can easly one shot. Meanwhile Zed has to hit his full combo otherwise his ulti damage suck.

Double the R range? Lol no. All they did was remove Crescent Slash procing Mark of the Assassin, and reduced the old ult range from 800=>700 it would have been 1400 range? Idk bout you but that would be totally busted.

You're kidding right? Experienced Yasuo mains will wreck anyone else. I had the displeasure of facing someone with 165 Yasuo games that had a god damn 68% winrate. I don't care who you are playing but that high of a winrate isn't fair. Even for a main. I think my last season Akali w/r was like 58% at like 250 games. So calling her OP is misleading as hell. Yes she's sticky, yes she has a stupid amount of burst. But at least she has a balanced winrate.

I disagree with that middle part. No winrate in unfair when the champ is balanced. Despite what you may think yasuo is balance and subpar at the moment. Another example is Tobias Fate, 77% winrate with GP the last time i checked.

Um no, Yasuo having a 52-53% win rate when he's supposed to be a "high skill capped" champion is not balanced, especially when he's one of the most popular champions at the moment.

Sure, I get it, you should be rewarded more for mastering a harder champion or whatever. But then what do you do against said mastered champ when they have infinite damage and CC and also shields? (This isn't even just Yasuo either)

Akali made my early years of League an absolute hell, she is the whole reason I play a lot of Singed and while I do despise her, I do acknowledge she did lead me to one of my most favorite champions to play.

Akali is actually in a decently strong spot right now. The massive popularity with immobile adcs and the changes to gunblade in patch 6.9 make her a solid pick right now. There are quite a few people playing and smashing with her in Diamond+. Voyboy still picks her up and does very well. She seems to get fed within 99% of games from what I've seen. Good Akali players will CS with Q and use W effectively making her pre-6 survivable. You can't flash away from her since she has three dashes aswell.

It really just depends. I like playing Akali but I really just refuse to play her mid lane since her match ups there are just coin flips compared to top where you just split push all day and kill whoever looks your way. I will still stand behind E max being better than Q max in almost every conceivable way (except straight up burst but E's pros far outweigh that especially since you aren't bursting anyone not GP top lane) and wish more people picked up on it since it makes your early game "problems" almost non existent and you just body any tank that thinks MR will save them.

I cs with her Q ALL the time lol, then I laught when people say they can't do it, it takes patientsand know how to cs with mota, Especially at rank 1

I'm starting to remain her yes. I haven't had any luck botlane with feeding mid/top laners, it's too hard to hard carry with ADC when you're enemy top/mid has 9 kills ay like 15 mins. But to be honest I'm testing out Kassadin as a main too since I've had a lot of luck on him so far this season.

I do get Yasuo is annoying; But its not really a Yasuo meta; Yasuo's had around a 25-30% play rate since release (EVen when he was utter shit tier). Same with champions like Thresh.

His play rate has been about 28% percent for the past month. Its nothing new, so I don't know why the Yasuo hate posts are popping up all of sudden in the past week.

You shoulda seen S3 Akali . She was THE godmode hunt you down to the ends of the fucking earth assassin. If she decided to kill you and was up to it, you were going to die.

Sure LB, Kass, and Talon could burst you faster/safer/etc. But akali's reliability and high-success damage is what set her apart.
