I think Kassadin needs a Sion/Poppy/Galio level rework

I don't see him ever being good again without returning to toxic-as-fuck-90%-ban-status with his current design. I think Riot should consider Kassadin for a massive overhaul, not just minor kit changes, not minor buffs or nerfs.

At this moment he is always playing second to options with more utility or outplay potential like Ekko, Fizz, LeBlanc, Kat. I don't even think he should be an assassin, his original design was anti-magic fighter. But since Demacia is all anti-magic now he should become a Skirmisher with a new niche or a different take on that Niche. I think he should fit in with people like Riven, Yasuo, Ekko and Jax instead of people like Katarina and Zed. It seems to fit his character more. He could be our official spellsword with his sword and shit.

Plus, it would be a great opportunity to have some new void lore.

maybe so.. but as we seen with most of the reworks ( at least to me) even though good in concept an theory they arent the same champs... they are new champs with name of older champs that dont exist

As an old Galio main, definitely. Old Galio was a wise old protector. Now he's just a dumbass who loves punching things. His voicelines sound like something off of Vi if she lost like 1000 IQ points.

I most definitely agree. I was thinking the other night that Kassadin is still really strong late game, and is actually surprisingly powerful early game, but his midgame is kinda bad. But, if they were to buff him in just about any way he's going to be insane again due to just how his kit functions. 66% of his damage is still from safety, and with the strength of his ability to reposition mid fight means he can always be safe as long as you play him patiently enough.

Just make Riftwalk delayed

He phases out for a second, gives you a telegraph where he's gonna go, and then he goes there. and that's it, that's all you really need to do as far as rift walk is concerned. beyond that he really just needs a new passive.

That sounds even more toxic. Because that means I can now use it to dodge certain kind of attacks like Master Yi does with his Q and I really don't need that.

you can't rework him without removing what fundamentally makes him what he is, he's kind of like Singed where his kit is toxic by design but cannot be changed in any way while still maintaining what he is

Well, his design is a lot better since the ulti range nerf. He now has a lot more counterplay, because he can't R-flash you from what was once 1000 units away, and doesn't have a silence neither. He's still unhealthy mostly though, because a lot of his counterplay is 'don't get within my r range'

Thing about Kass is that his mobility makes him so good and insanely hard to lock down. You either insta burst him on the spot or he gets away scot free.

I think he could use a slightly more defined identity, but otherwise he is good in my eyes. Right now, I think he should either lose his Q shield and get MORE mobility, or lose some mobility and get more Q shield. Something like that at least. He either should be the blink king or anti-mage king. Right now, he is pushing in both directions.

Personally, I would prefer him become the uncontested blink king and have absurd mobility, while losing most anti-magic elements of his kit. Why? Because there are currently some other champions that perform the anti-magic niche better, like Galio and arguably Malzahar.
