Can we make Maw like Sterakks? Activate after taking a certain amount of magic damage

Instead of requiring you to be at a low health percentage, why not just activate after taking 400-1600 magic damage, like item 3053 ?

This would make it easier to use for more champs.

Maw is already in a good place and I reckon if they did that it'd be even gooder. Like really gooder. The item isn't weak.

No, honestly this would be a nerf. Having it auto activate means there's no way around it and no way to bait it out.

What do you mean by that?

Well this could be circumvented by Dps and poke, and it would never proc. Or it could be proceed just by hitting them with a big burst which wouldn't get them low, say if an ADC bought it and you chunk them to 50 percent, normally they'd just lifesteal or have their support heal them and they'd still have Maw to save them when. They're actually in danger.

Poke champions aren't meta right now. In teamfights the enemy doesn't just stop DPSing so that Steraks doesn't proc. Getting the 20AD and 10% life steal / spell vamp early in the fight can really change the outcome rather than when your champion is already near death.

They could change numbers on the item so that it procs sooner or later or make the time span longer so that it would work out.

The reason it is a buff is because you would get access to the extra bonuses of the item while not being near death.

Yeah but it could just be forced out in laning or something, and usually you aren't in a good spot to engage if you just took that much damage. I don't really keep up with the meta but still. People will still play their mains, or whoever they think seems fun

I guess it could be a buff in some ways, but others it might not.
