Support is the hardest role in the game

Because you're the one role who has to counterbalance not just the enemy's team, but your own. And when you are in a team full of ADCs and AD melee burst assassins against a relatively balanced (or completely counterbalanced against your team's composition) team, it creates the kind of sink-or-swim environment where the supports become extremely out-of-depth for their ranking.

That's yet another concept alien to League players. Everyone talks about boosted players, but nobody thinks about the out-of-depth players.

The only time I find it hard is when Ezreal is right next to me.

I'd say it, just like any other role, depends on the team and match-ups.

And then there's some champions that are just brain-dead in terms of mechanics.
