Katarina, better top laner?

Overall, I think Katarina is much more fun to play and is quite good. But to a degree, I have been having a hard time mid, especially early against ranged mages. I want to play her a lot to get good, so I have been taking her top lane. And to be honest I am crushing out most of my opponents. A few odd things that I have been doing that seem to make this really good is taking Physical Attack Damage runes and running as my first item.

I guess with her passive taking 100% bonus ad at level I can really hammer my opponent at lvl 1 trades. Seems to be running pretty well. I am also able to flex more with TP allowing me to gank bottom fairly frequently and snowball out.

I am not sure what everyone else experience is like. I still also iffy on what I should be itemizing as well.

Can Fiora , Olaf , Vladimir , Tryndamere ?

Yes. Fiora often builds item 3022 if she needs utility. She has her W which is a fantastic Attack Speed slow / Ability cancel Olaf mostly charges and causes chaos Vladimir goes in and out based on CD's, and usually has rylai's Tryndamere Who the fuck team fights on Trynda? Split push fool!

I saw 3 times Kata top after the rework. Once vs me - GP (one of the weakest early game toplaners). She got rekt hard and I started 1shotting people with early IE+Triforce, because she fed me. Once vs Trynda - me; straight up killed her lvl 2. Then started diving her pre lvl 6 and 1v2ed her and her jungler several times. Vs another Trynda on my team - similar story. She has no sustain and her base stats are lower than the toplaners. She will die even to full tanks that can kill her with just base dmg. Playing vs snowballers like Trynda, Riven, Fiora etc is just madness.

I am not sure what the kat was doing, but I don't have much of an issue vs tryn. Usually one of my favorable match up honestly. Think the mobility she has really makes that fight easier.

I'm not sure what Tryn was doing vs you. Any decent Trynda will start E and try to kill you lvl 1. He doesn't even need stacked passive, he outstats you in every way. You also need to roam to snowball and get some kills midgame, leaving your lane open. Trynda can fastpush at least 2 towers, before someone comes to clear the waves (and if he sees the rest of your team mid/bot, he will just dive the defender unless it's someone tanky with stuns).

I doubt it; Kata is a squishy assassin that you are taking top lane. One maybe able to chunk out their opponent early, but pretty quickly you won't be able to do much to most top laners while they would be able strike back pretty hard or even just simply all in and kill you.

I don't doubt you about what you have said happening. It's just we are talking about champions, not our games. Because, for example, when I kill a lane bully like Renekton or Darius as GP pre-6, I don't take that as GP being a counter-pick to them. I take that as them messing up and not playing correctly and me taking advantage of that.
