Here's an interesting thought, what if zed had mana?

He's the only assassin that doesn't have a mana pool, well besides kat, but you'd have to rework her if you added mana i think, since her cd cuts from assists/kills would make her go oom in the middle of fights i assume. But in this hypothetical scenario, if zed had mana costs, would he be crippled that much by it? he'd wouldn't be able to shove his lane as freely early game which is a problem for basically every single mage in the game when it comes to laning against him. Just a random thought i had today, idk if it would work, that's why i posted it here.

You can't add mana. Not because of balance but because of lore. He is a ninja, ninja uses energy and have to be balanced around that mechanic.

all this would do is make his earlygame more frustrating while giving him new build paths and more chances to spam overtime since he can't run out of energy and doesn't have to worry about landing skillshots to get energy back

The problem is you'd be straight up nerfing his early game, but super buffing his late game.

Unless you completely gimp his mana pool to pre rework poppy levels, you'd be making him worse than he is now

Literally the only thing stopping him from continuously using his skills is his energy pool. it would be a buff to give him mana

I mean i guess that means that he wont have the early game harrase if he wants the lv 6 powerspike since you would want to save the mana, but in late game mana would really be a buff
