Katarina gets rewarder too much for the risk she takes

Now hear me out.

I dont want this to be a rant, and i make this thread while being aware of what both sides usualy say about katarina katarina is a champion with solid counterplay being cc, sh is an all inn squish who gets rewarded for risky plays.

In most of debates or rants about katarina the discussion usualy ends in one way. -One side wishes for kata to be nerfed becuase her counterplay despite being awailable everywhere, isnt realy effective way of reliably stopping her. -Second side defends katarina argumenting it by her nature and blaming the wrong execution of counterplay on other side.

And i cant say that either of those is wrong.

fact 1) If you execute the counterplay correctly you REMOVE KATARINA, just like that ... she doesnt even exist in the fight fact2) Its insanely hard to do that in real case scenario where your entire team cant be positioned perfectly for this, and enemy team is also doing their stuff. fact3) Katarina has her input here, you are not cc-ing her until she goes into your range.

So what i would like to discussis what are the risks katarina takes to get her rewards and comparing them to other champions with other assasins.

So Katarina as an ap assasin, as an ap assasin she uses zhonya and this item is 100% important to notice here

From all of my experiences by playing on both ends i feel like katarina does get rewarded too much She is an assasin with top tier burst, a counterplay that is just as significant as other assasins have (other assasins, and everything else actualy, for many assasins their assasination takes some seconds, and any interruption hurst them just as it does kata, because adc gets some free space and turns to fight back/runs away) she scales of ap so shetakes zhonya to fill for whatever she failed

So basicaly her risks are the same as other assasins, she has no free escape but neither do all of other assasins (well the only assasins who have such an easy way out are zed and lb, the rest is vulnerable when running, pink wards included) her counterplay is somewhat similar to others. -for one you can flash+dash but that has a 5 minute cooldown -for second you can cc her but you know how it ends (too late or too soon), and for some reason i never see kata smart enough to get a banshee, and still that cc is interrupting her assasination, the same thing it does to talon, fizz,lb rengar akali, and the timing you need for it to be effective is similar (i mean breaking the jump here, or in case of talon hitting him right when he appears)

-you cant stop her with any items besides zhonya, qqs can remove her q, but compared to other assasins kata doesnt need this damage -for akali not getting that q detonation is a diference beetwen killing and dying unless fed like mad -for talon its 30% of his damage -for zed its everything -for fizz its 20% magic damage -for lb its tricky cause it can be either mimicked or normal sigil, but her burst is still usualy consisting of 4 skills so if you remove one you should still survive -there is nidaele too, remove her hunt at the right time and you removed her

and what is her reward -for any enemy dead that she interacted within 5 seconds she gets to cleanup the teamfight, it doesnt matter if your tank died, your support, or even the blessed adc, one person dies and kata's team won the teamfight

From my perspective , kata takes normal amount of risk for an assasin, while being rewarded much more than other champions
