NERF THRESH 54% Winrate 40% Pickrate

Its about time we nerf this champ he has consistently been performing well even though he has the reputation of being a noob hero who attracts a lot of bad players and makes him the preferred choice for autofill players . Because of this and the fact that many claim that he is one of the hardest to play champions his winrate should naturally be low. But as you can tell from the title its the exact opposite... he rose to the top of both the pickrate and whats more worrying the winrate chart (as far as supports go) indicating that there are MAJOR problems within his kit that need to be addressed.

This is the problem that riot has, they want to make the "hardest" champions more rewarding, by making them be more impactful. Yet being more impactful can almost directly translate to being more powerful. So by making these "hard" champions powerful, it makes them easier to play. Effectively lowering the actual skill needed to make their "hard" kits effective. It's stupid design when designing for a wide audience.

Thresh is a weird case, he's effectively the Lee Sin of bot lane. He's almost untouchable, because i'm pretty sure that riot considers him the standard for supports. Which is why they can justify making bard more than a utility champion and Tahm needed so much raw power on release.

Thresh is fine. It's okay for champions to be good and popular.

I'd rather see players learn how to beat them rather than beg for nerfs.

WHY ARE WE SHOUTING?

Leagueofgraphs shows 51.3% overall, 45% winrate for beginners up to 54% for mains: http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/de/champions/stats/thresh championgg shows 52.5% overall, 44.3% winrate for beginners up to 53.6% for mains: http://champion.gg/champion/Thresh/Support

I don't think there is a decent support champion with a lower winrate for beginners so I think he is as hard to play as intended. He rather strong right now, but not exactly worrying, especially considering how he was on the weak side for quite a while. I also don't see how a champion being simply rather strong would indicate that there are "major problems within his kit" - he is probably slightly overtuned at worst.
