Suddenly, patch 5.17: no one can go over walls.

Neither Flash nor any skill can put a champion on the other side of the wall except for ultimates and Bard's Magical Journey.

Who becomes the best champion, and who's the worst?

Edits to make things more interesting:

  • Jungle camps are about 20% easier.
  • Changed the...change to include ultimates (Shen, Noct, TF, etc.); original rule was: Neither Flash nor any skill can put anyone on the other side of any wall in the game except Bard's Magical Journey.

Rek'Sai, Twisted Fate, Tahm Kench, and Shen essentially have no ults. Rek'Sai also loses her tunnels, her main source of mobility. Jarvan IV becomes the strongest jungler in the game. Anivia recieves a huge spike in power. These are just the first things that I can think of. Of these, I think Rek'Sai loses the most and Jarvan gains the most.

Twisted Fate would still be able to use his ultimate to gank other lanes, so long as he had a clear line down the river without any walls in the way.

The same applies to the others. Rek'sai could use tunnels to reposition (basically, a dash); Shen would be able to protect nearby allies with his shield, etc.

Oh, I know, but it's such a sharp reduction in power that I thought it would be worth noting. How many TF ults are from the river to the middle of top or bot lane?

no escape from the fart cloud.

imo champs who are already relying on ghost would become rather strong. though its not really clear, since inbuilt mobility would still be strong down a path without hopping over walls.

LeeSin though

karma would finally strike him in the rear.

Idk about flash, but dashing through walls is the biggest problem with mobility creep. Change like this would be lovely. Also, massive Udyr buff XD

This is hypothetical right??

its a sad state of things when the balance team has been so shit people have to ask to see if things like these ARE hypothetical

Obviously Bard is now tier 1 best champion banned every game.

No Flash sounds amazing. Permanent. No Spells sounds even better.

Anivia becomes a beast Middle Lane. Some might argue to max her W over Q to potentially completely block off the enemy's escape. Azir gets a small buff since his wall now can stop Malphite and the like. Nocturne 's ultimate becomes completely and utterly useless. JarvanIV is the new must ban champion. Khazix becomes even more out of the meta. Nautilus 's Q is now one of the best gap closers in the game. TahmKench 's ultimate becomes near useless. Shen 's ultimate becomes near useless. Pantheon 's ultimate becomes near useless. RekSai 's ultimate becomes near useless. Trundle pillar becomes a pillar of trolly dash stops. Zac is now useless as far as any good ganks and sneaky engages go. Bard becomes a must have. Blitzcrank gets a major nerf since he can't pull people over walls now.

Baron and Dragon become really hard to steal.

In your (marvelous) concept Alistars headbut can toss people trough walls?

Who'd become the best champion? Mobility-wise LB/Shaco. They might not be able to jump trough walls, but they can still out-dash and out-smart enemy ;)

NOPE. Nothing but global ultimates and Magical Journey can sent people over walls.
