Idea for a possible Champion style: Grappling from target to target

Was playing some Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, and using Jazz's grapple beam is loads of fun. You're just zipping from position to position, getting angles to snipe down enemies with a Null Ray (Sniper Rifle), all while movin' smooth.

This makes me think: What if there was a marksman Champion capable of grappling from position to position to avoid trouble?

Now, before you say Amumu, Thresh, Jarvan, or Nautilus, none of them qualify as a true marksman. Additionally, their grapples are more about the crowd control and initiation than about repositioning; the positioning is just icing on the cake (except maybe in J4's case).

I'm imagining a marksman Champion who has to use this "Grapple Beam" to reposition quickly if he/she is jumped by an enemy assassin or fighter, letting you quickly pull yourself out of arm's reach and then blast the enemy down at range after they've blown their gap-closer. This would also require more finesse than, say, Ezreal or Graves, in that it wouldn't be a dash/blink ability, but would have more tricks up its sleeve.

Any thoughts? Or am I just jumping at shadows for ideas?

Name: Schneider Rito friendly 'lore'; Schneider was once a prominent hextech psychologist in zuan. However, after the betrayal of his favorite student and the theft of his prototype shizohextechnical weapons pow-wow and fishbones he turned his studies to bio-mechanical applications of hextech. His research resulted in a unique ability to detatch joints and stretch muscle and flesh infinitely.

Passive: Hextech grapple grip Basic attacks outside of 125 range "stretch" up to 600 additional range. Schneider will pull himself to the damaged enemy, dealing his level times five as magic damage.

Q: Smack/slap Schneider increases and flattens the size of his hands, stretching his arms to smack and enemy within 800 range and stun them for 1 second. Pressing the skill button again will slap the enemy, dealing 25/50/75/100/125+0.6 bonus AD as physical damage and increasing the stun by 0.25 seconds per hit. an enemy may only be slapped while stunned. Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 mana Cooldown: 15 seconds

W: Long step: Schneider takes a really, really, really long step (1000 range). Enemies hit by his retracting foot take 50/80/130/160+0.8 bonus AD as physical damage and are pushed to the side. Cost: 90 mana Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds

E: Grand headbutt Schneider increases the size of his head and rams the target enemy within 350 range, knocking them back 500 units and dealing 10/12/14/16/18% of their current HP as physical damage. If the enemy is knocked into a wall they are stunned, and may be slapped. Slaps executed after grand headbutt do 10/20/30/40/50 additional damage. Cost: 100/95/90/85/80 mana Cooldown: 10 seconds

R: Total expansion Schneider increases his body size massively, gaining 1/2/3 times his total AP as HP, and 1/2/3 times his total AD as mana. While expanded schneider also gains 25/35/45% reduced cooldown on all skills, -50% movement speed, +20% AP/AD, and may choose terrain to as an auto attack target. Lasts 6/8/10 seconds Cost: 130 mana Cooldown: 180 seconds

I know its not jazz, buts its an amalgam of jazz' personality and what could feasibly exist in LoL.

I imagine there'd be some limitations. Perhaps this grappler marksman would be unable to go over walls (without Flash).

Have you met Kalista ?

Not the same style. That's just obnoxious orb-walking.

Then maybe I don't understand what you mean by "reposition quickly with the grapple beam to pull yourself out of harm's reach"... it sounds a lot like Kalista's targeted dash upon Q or autoattack, from that description.

How about this as a skill?

Grapple Hook Fire a skill shot that pierces through enemies and damages the first enemy it hits (subsequent enemies struck do not take damage). If this shot hits terrain, you can activate the ability again to pull yourself to the latched point within the next 2 seconds.

That would be kind of neat. Sort of a mini- Lee Sin Q/optional Nautilus Q?
