any positive comments about him? why he is most behind and forgotten even more than Urgod, can we restore his past of 2011-2013 at least where he was fun to play.

As a skarner main...

That is painfully accurate, he was always my second highest mastery champion, and then recently I decided to try and get him off my profile page...

Infact he used to be my best champion in season 6, always was one of my favorites, and was my signature champion you'd see me playing during the trinity force buff hype.

Once season 7 rolled around, I've regretted locking in as skarner in every single case.

I am pretty sure one day we'll find out about him because that's what they did to Ryze, kept nerfing kept nerfing then they gave him a fully fixed rework Skarner is same case as ryze so ya we do definitely want to see his full rework coming as soonest as possible.

I really want him to get a full VGU, but riot has been ignoring his existance for the longest time, he's not even on the list for a VGU and there's like 3 years worth of champions already ahead of him in priority.

They need to minirework him like they're doing for rek'sai after they fix up azir.

he needs sion's level rework full visual + different gameplay to match his lore Skarner's lore suppose to make him that annoying crystal vanguard that when he gets close to someone, he murders his target and becomes duelist 1 v 1, he used to be like that in 2011-2013 then riot decided to make him most forgotten and useless champion. I'd say they either give him new visual and restore his release gameplay or just delete all of his trashing abilities because they incredibly nerfed and give him a fully different gameplay that acts well with his lore. And yes i for sure agree that he is oldest on list of Vgu now and riot seems like they are not doing the right thing and spending time on him to make things more fair but they are not they just wasting time on nonsense things, Idk when they'll ever look at skarner again. Me alone maining skarner doesn't help we need many people to actually talk about skarner so riot can finally decide and put him on the full rework list

Skarners in game model doesn't justify a complete VGU soon. It is by far not as outdated as models of champions like these: Blitzcrank Rammus DrMundo Udyr Urgot Pantheon Malphite Jax And maaaaaaany more.

Skarners model is actually pretty modern. If they look into him, he most likely gets a minirework.

Rammus DrMundo Urgot Pantheon Are confirmed for full visual and gameplay update Tho i don't know much about Udyr Blitzcrank Malphite Jax they are already fine but for sure i could say jax could be a future Vgu and gameplay? it's very possible

For Skarner he has been oldest on the list of vgu tbh, way more than anyone else we could think of, all the past champions are getting full reworks, Expect skarner he is the only very old champion that really needs his Gameplay and visual update but he still not mentioned by anyone. I'll keep asking about him to remind Riot's team to work on him someday

Small problem with Skarner. He has that Dominion passive. Working on Skarner would remind them that game mode exited. Those memories are more taboo than Lee Sin nerfs.

I loved the original scarner as i could play him perfectly well as an ap-bruiser on a sololane. I like'd the pain train playstyle, smiliar to shyvana, and i love that badass ancient sorcpion from his personality and looks. However, he's become less and less of a paintrain and more an ultbut with aditional stun, and paintrains overall don't work well anymore, as they are hurt very badly by damagecreep.

The new one actually would have potential aswell(though sadly his AP has been butchered), he's not as damageing anymore, however the stun feels good aswell, but his stupid stone mechanic forces him into the jungle and even there it'S not fun at all...

he was like... my 4th champion buy years ago needing a jungler.

theres nothing he does that i deem unique besides being just an ult bot, which is pretty lacking.

he actually used to be more fun in season 2-4 before the 1st mini rework which was his sudden nerf and dropped him down from one of strongests to most useless tank

I think he was okay last season, i bought him just for the fun of it and decided to do my ranked placements (at the end of the season cus who remembers ranked is a thing) and won 10/10 (8 with him) + few and lost like. 2-3 games? skarner might not seem to do much but, if you max E-W-Q and go cinderhulk trinity. He has some pretty good clears, sustain, ganks, and a lot of tankyness and is really good to peel, if you have a premade adc that's remotely decent skarner can do a lot by being frontline/peel, he can even catch people, i remember one of my games it was very close and my teammate just said "mm.. at this point if we kill viktor we win, if not he's gonna destroy all of us", 10 seconds later i flash ult him, he dies without using a single ability and we win :v sure he's not the flashiest but for a tank, he can get the job done, not to mention pretty good invades with spires also thing i noticed, if you have 4 people on a spire, it says you get 8 gold, but in reality you get 7

I like him as a support IF and only if you're on the lower left. You can grab the lower crystal in the jungle and sit pretty close to lane for infinite mana and just spam E at people for poke and if you hit enough turn it into a kill by shield boosting into them and stunning them.

He's good at preventing dives as well in lower ranks, I haven't even bothered doing all my placements yet this year, but I've sort of sat at Silver 5 for Ranked for like 5 years because at least it's better than the standard border and I can't be bothered to put more effort into that toxic abyss. Because low rank Zeds, Talons, etc will ult dive your tower with reckless abandon and you just kind of press R and spam laugh.

I enjoy him on 3s, but all the melee sustained damage tanks are busted on 3s and Skarner even more so since almost the entire map is covered by one crystal or another, so of course he's fun there.

I guess he's got a pretty neat look/voice-over.

I dunno, when he gets reworked again, and he will, I hope that the Crystals stick around in a way but as a castable ability instead of as neutral gold giving objectives. Sort of like Trundle's W(?) but helping out his whole team somehow, maybe give him the current benefits (Tone down the mana regen, probably flat values or make it a defensive steroid) and give his team a portion of it for like, 5 or 7 seconds but with a decent cooldown. Granted I also really like the idea of his new ult being a giant swarm of baby crystal scorpions that sting the crap out of anything in their way, so I'm probably not the best to consult for ideas.
