I thought it through and Ulit Hat and Nimbus Cloak may actually be good for mages

Yesterday when I heard about moving Ulti Hat to Domination and replacing it with Nimbus Cloak I was mad. I didn't get why Nimbus Cloak didn't go to Domination, and Ultimate Hat stay where it is. Nimbus Cloak makes more sense as a Domination rune, considering how well it meshes with assassins more than mages. But today I think that's exactly why it was moved.

Riot didn't want to force specific rune trees on classes. They didn't want Sorcery to be for mages only, Domination for assasins, Precision for adc etc. That's why we have wards runes in Domination, so supports can pick that tree. Nimbus in Sorcery, Conqueror in Precision and Ulti Hat in Domination. To open new possible rune paths.

And as for the Ulti Hat and Nimbus Cloak affair, think about it like that: now mages can still pick up Ulti Hat and in addition they can get Manaflow Band at the same time. They do not have to pick Nimbus Cloak. Not every rune in Sorcery have to fit mages and that's what Riot is trying to do.

I really thought that these changes will also affect assasins. That Ulti Hat will go to the same slot as Sudden Impact, forcing assasins to pick one. But it's in the #3 slot in Domination so assasins will still go both while not being forced to pick up Sorcery. It opens up their secondary rune tree choice so it's quite big buff in my opinion. Well, I guess we can't have all right?
