You dont ban champs just because they recently came out tho. At least not after the first week.

I've seen a similar graphic where the colors represents how often they're banned first/second/third+forth/fifth+sixth. I'm betting blue is first ban.

in addition to the other comment, the colors might represent division: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum+

gameplay changes apparently above gold...not really according to what we see of the LCS
