Dealing with tanks

Can anyone help me with the new tank meta? It seems like the last couple of games the enemy team has consisted of at least three tanks which are impossible to get past. They pretty much seemed unkillable. So what's the best tank shred build? I would assume lw and Bork but for whatever reason either my team builds incorrectly for the situation or we simply can't kill the tanks. So what's a good way to deal with tanks?

It's good to have at least one tank on your team.

A general rule of thumb for team comps, in my opinion, is two durable frontline champions (bruisers, tanks), two carries (at least one AD), and the support who fits the team comp.

It's not a tank meta, tbh... we still have two carries, and non-tank supports are being played. It favors balanced team comps, the tank protects the adc who kills the tank and the adc is killed by the assassin/mage.

That's the way to go. If you are the adc, stand behind your tank and don't 1v1 anybody after laning is over. Positioning is key.

HP.

Dealing with a tank takes a bit of time, you're not going to blow through them quickly. Rather you need "just enough" defense to shrug off their base damage values so you have the time to munch through them.

Option 1) fight fire with fire. Play a tank yourself. You don't really need 3 tanks on your team as long as you have at least one.

Option 2) Play a late scaling bruiser who does not get shut out in the laning phase because tanks don't do damage. (Try your hand at Vlad)

option 3) If ADC, pick someone who can shred tanks with high damage late game. Think someone like Jinx, Kog'maw, vayne. Someone who scales late.

option 4) If ADC, pick a utility ADC who complements the team fight. Tanks are made to team fight. And an ADC who can assist your tank in engaging the fight. (Ashe, sivir) You will get the Advantage.

Either way, if Your ADC, get BotRK. Heath stacking is more prevalent and you want the health shred. If your an APC, good luck.

Anyone that can effectively use either item 3151 or item 3153 is, as a rule of thumb, better at dealing with tanks. (Even without those items.)

So you can either poke them or your damage has enough buffers to circumvent the tankiness. Focusing on the all-in is likely to get you killed.

item 3153 item 3071 item 3001 item 2139 item 3151 item 3165 item 3185 (ARAM) item 3050 (So you dont lose HP like a madman when you focus the tank)

Depends what champion you are. If you're a burst mage then I'm sorry, wait for your team to take the tanks out because if you use your combo on them alone you're not going to be as helpful as you should at killing the carries. If you're an ADC, build a BT/BotRK and LW and go to town.

Yeah, wait until Rito "fixes" the game. In the meantime, it's E3 season, hopefully there are some better announcements in the gaming world to enjoy.
