Why do people ban new champs in normal draft?

People still hate to play with new champions because they are either frelo and cancer to play against or if it is on their team, sometimes they would be better off if the player was afk.

basically this.. but more the latter. I am fine going against the champions, but when your botlane duo goes 0/20 and then they get a similar score with the next duo you just start banning so you can get your first win bonus of the day. I won't ban if they hover it but as sooon as it's my turn to ban I'm removing it before it gets locked in. Inb4 someone says you should gank their lane, if a bot lane dies multiple times within the first few mins of the game it's pretty much game over. There's only so much roaming a midlaner can do. You can't contest dragon when the enemy team has a lvl 6 adc and supp and yours are lvl 4, it's pretty much just waiting for the game to end or hoping to stall out long enough after the outer turrets fall.

Don't forget that sometimes you just want variety.

I'd rather not see the same champion every single goddamn game.
