This also means building magic resist will be infinitely more effective against him, not that I expect people to do such a thing, because this game is full of idiots.

I don't see why more people, especially in the lower ELO, don't play Singed if they are so desperate to get out of Bronze. Singed has a high skill ceiling for what he needs to be doing during a game, but at the same time he can just walk around with a Ryali's and provide some of the best zoning in the game during a team fight, not to mention his Flip is one of arguably the best single target CC non-ultimate spells in the game. Seriously, Singed counters a ton of early game lane bullies and can get farm while doing it. It is very simple to play him and his poison trail is just amazing DPS for a spell so simple. Not to mention (again) that Singed is arguably the best champion to play when behind because he is never truly behind due to how much gold he passively gets.
