When is worlds and when is the season ending?

Will MF be patched before season 5 concludes?

The present plan is for MF's changes to come out with the pre-season (so after Worlds), as they require particle updates to her base and skins.

Not to get everyone too excited, but we are also having to do a lot of performance testing to ensure that the number of bullets her ult fires at level 16 doesn't destroy min spec computers.

HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT AND NOT EXPECT US TO BE EXCITED?!?!

Just raise the minimum specifications to play League. An Ultra-Low setting should be available so that Potato Wedges can still run League (one that is just purely squares, no sound or effects). They'll never get to see the actual stunning visual effects, but I and many other can.

MF pick or ban -2016

Lol jk. Sweet Cert.

whoa whoa whoa, you JUST gave her that mini VU, you need even MORE particles for these new changes? What are you doing to her?

I don't want that to sound accusatory, I'm sure they'll be good changes, but you just went tot he trouble of changing her, what's goin on?

Hopefully she can move while casting it, or it won't matter how cool it looks. Right now she has one of the worst ults in the game.

Sekruez2 votes

Really? for the damage it deals it's pretty basic to be stationary to get countered; so what if it's directional or a cone? good positioning will get you a full ult on 3-5 people.

Lucifer2 votes

Good positioning by the enemy teams means MF never gets a full ult off in the first place, unless they're hard CCd. It's why she is rarely (if ever) picked in competitive play. Especially when a support with any form of hard CC can immediately interrupt her.

Not really any worse than Vel'koz. Sure, he can move his but as far as he can move his MF was already shooting there in the first place.

Lucifer2 votes

Not only can Velkoz move his, but it's further ranger, and it syncs with his knock up and slow very well. MF doesn't have hard CC to sync with her ult.

I am Razgriz1 votes

He only has 150 range on her, that's the distance of a melee attack. MF also has a slow. So the only thing he really has on her is a knock up. But remember that she's more likely to hit multiple targets at once, wider cone after all.

They're still similar in function though, which is my point.

her ults isnt amazing or anything. but its not terrible. in practice you find odd times to use it. like say enemies are low in health but its not quite safe to run up to them, or you dont have vision cause they went into bush or behind wall...odd stuff like that. it works.

Is there any way to view these current changes, or is that info privileged only to riot at the moment? I'm just wondering if there's a way to see them before they actually hit the PBE. Jinx <--- She's still #1 tho :P

CT reworks so broken that first shatter Runeterra in half with a mace strike, then shatter the pcs with an ult.

Blowing up enemy pc's = new eta

Sir, you can't say "not to get everyone too excited" then drop something like that. I almost fell out of my chair.

Good day to you.

While more projectiles is nice to hear I want to know if you can even build Pen for it.

Right now if you build AD you get Magic damage, and if you build AP you get Physical damage from her ult.

She won't be able to have an impactful ult without insane base numbers without ratio and damage type is aligned. (Ezreal at least has double ratios on his ult even if it just does magic damage...and if it did physical damage it would be insane for ad EZs building LW as their second item.)

Don't overload the bullets please, I mean she needs massive buffs, but she doesn't need no 25 shield for each bullet hit or anything.

Actually, a shield for each shot hit in her current state would be interesting.

They always change identity of champions to the complete opposite when there is nothing wrong with what the champion does. Take Skarner for example, he used to be an inescapable duelist in S3, his weaknesses were being unable to get to people, weak early game pressure, and organized team fighting. Now he is the complete opposite, it's easy to escape Skarner, he's got mage movement speed and no perma slow/Q movement speed, not all champions escape super easy but over 50% of them have no issue escaping him 1v1, he's fucking slow. As for dueling, he is by far the weakest fighter in the game if he doesn't have his spires with him, bad duel potential, and his team fight, well now people who built tank are benefiting, hp stacking has given him a bigger shield even though it's CD is much much higher than it used to be (due to loss of energize) and so he is a team fighting tank focused on dragging carries. The entire idea behind the champion has been completely reversed to something much less fun.

Sion shared a simular fate, once a massive lifestealing monster, the king of hitting shit and never dieing, his weakness was being some what squishy so you could kill him in CC, now he is the one doing the CCing, as a CC tank (as if we didn't have 100 of those already) and his new weakness, well one of them, is high sustain duelists. He used to be the king of sustain, and now it's his fucking weakness since he doesn't have the damage to do shit to them.

I'm just tired of all the identity reversals in weakness, Riot could have created a shrine maiden champion for their Skarner passive idea, and could have buff one of the current CC tanks instead of changing Sion, but instead they just change an existing one people have already grown to like. It's easy to shrug it off when it's not your champion and the champion is one of the lowest pick rates, but for me, Skarner was a lot of fun, he was a champ I could enjoy and ignore my team looking for picks and shit, now he's a team fighting tank with terrible damage. I mean there is a reason I don't play Amumu or Malphite, why would I want Skarner to be like that?

Making a champion viable and able to be played takes the top priority I'd imagine. Yes it being fun is ALSO important, but look at it like this. If 1% of the playerbase plays and enjoys urgot, is it not better to aid another 9% of people who would play him if he were truly a decent pick? The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Sorry, just the way the world works.

It's not better to take something from someone just so you can give it to more, you shouldn't steal $10 from a stranger so you can give $10 to 10 strangers. Yea sure it's more money, but you've now hurt someone to give others something they didn't really need.

We already have enough CC tanks, sure there may be more Sion players now but they would have had just as easy of a time with other tanks, they didn't need Sion to be changed, however all those who liked Sions lifestealing playstyle have lost something.

Same thing for Skarner, people don't need current Skarner, he's just a gimmicky, lower damage Blitzcrank, however he used to be a great duelist, and unique, or at least as unique as champions get in this game.

Biffolo1 votes

Except real money and a competitive game are two entirely different things.

CSDragon2 votes

Well, that's one way to help her, but what about the real problems? Any updates on those?

Her ult still having no AD Physical damage scaling making her core item, Black Cleaver, not any good on her, and her Q having been brought down from a glorious 180 degree arc to a puny 60 degree one.

I really want to know what the changes are now D:

Do you have something ready for Quinn?

RiotRepertoir mentioned he has some changes ready for the near feature some days ago. I'm too lazy to search for the quote, but ut's true. Try browsing through recent red post collections at surrenderat20 ^^

That teaser makes me think MF's Bullet Time will scales with waves of bullets. This would max her impure shots much easier to stack later in the game.
