@Riot I became level 30 a while back, and I would really enjoy to start playing ranked. However I don't feel like going into DQ and getting completely destroyed by a pre-made smurf team.
This is coming from a player who joined in season 6.
I hope you consider bringing back Solo Q. Side note: I don't want to play ranked with my friends because I'm scared it'll break our friendships.

I was gold 5, seeding matches put me in Silver 4, and I am already Gold 5 again on my main account without much effort at all

Spanked eGirl2 votesI sometimes Duo with a friend but havent done anything more than 2 people, so literally no different than how SoloQ was before DQ came to be. People are overreacting because they lost a game or two to a well organized group. I had a game where I was on Jhinn and they kept 3 man tower diving me perfectly early game it sucked, but yet we still won.

Chaos Milk Tea1 votesIt's not even half as bad as people complain about. I can almost guarantee you won't meet a smurf premade. In fact, you face higher mmr players when you are in a premade.

It's more of a concern to have the right rune pages and enough champions that you're comfortable on. Beyond that, the only way is to learn by playing. You'll likely lose the early ones in ranked (unless you've done a lot of normals) but you'll get there.
