@Riot why would you remove this. It was so much fun to use it after outplaying someone or just to tilt players in general. Bring it back please.

They didn't remove it, it's a bug. RiotBok posted on a thread saying its a bug not intentional

I remember everytime somebody BMed me with it, I'd just come back and destroy them with a scary amount of aggression that seems misplaced but is in the perfect time to cause them to fail to take proper action in time. I usually then just snowball the game and flash my mastery icon once later on.

A mid Lucian flashed is mastery Icon because he got a double kill early against me and Lux because Zac showed up for the counter gank

My other lanes were doing okay

I made sure that Lucian ended 3-10.

Reminder that Treeline and ARAM, both of which are permanent game modes, still don't have Champ Mastery. Riot decided that temporary Rotating Game Modes, typically only available one weekend per month, somehow deserved Champ Mastery more than ranked TT.

I kind of feel like a small, very small pinch of 'trash talk' is okay and even healthy for the game. It just has to stay very minor, and entirely game related (Ie, no calling somebody a "Nr rd f****t" or "you should get cancer", those are just objectively wrong).

I don't think having your mastery emote tied to the same key as your skills so it spams the entire game is healthy for anyone, it's just annoying.

No one uses it like this, everyone who uses it spams. Everyone else doesn't use it. I don't think it should be taken out but maybe a cap like pings?

I feel as though popping mastery is a lot more healthy than spam laughing/taunting... Sure you can mute them, but still, I don't think popping mastery is unhealthy. If you make a good outplay and pop mastery, yeah sure, that's fine.

It's the people that pop it every 10 seconds that is annoying. Also much better than players insulting each other. Haven't seen a player rage from popping mastery yet, so I don't think it has been a problem.

TL:DR - Would much rather have someone pop mastery instead of dancing/laughing on my corpse. Except an Udyr popping mastery then running away at mach 10. That tilts me...

Popping anything to BM an opponent is childish to me, and that kind of behavior in real life can get you into physical danger.

I feel it's rather deserving if you make a good outplay. Also, I'm not sure how popping mastery in game correlates to real life. I can totally throw a giant pair of golden wings above my head just by pulling it out of my ass in real life. I mean, running up to someone. killing them, then throwing up mastery is a totally logical thing to do in real life, right? No. It's a game.

Toxic are those people that rage at other players for feeding, stealing cs, and altogether being an asshole. Also, because it is childish to you, does that necessarily mean that it is childish to everyone else? Does everyone need to adopt your opinion? No.

Same goes for me, I won't force anyone to have my opinions, but I will state them, along with valid points.

Also, I am just going to assume that a fair portion of the player base are children. I could be wrong, just an assumption... Children being 17 or younger, depending on where you live of course.

And if you get pissed off by these simple acts of pleasure, obviously you are one those violent people in New York that would put a bullet in someones skull. I mean, it's a game. IT's A GAME! You are meant to have fun! Why ruin it for your team by getting angry?

We play these games to enjoy ourselves. If someone gets angry by getting killed with a little BM as a side dish, please, go play a single player game, or just take a break. You will find these people everywhere you go...

Sorry about wall of text, just stating an opinion that I believe others may understand/accept.

Now onto another topic: Who is enjoying the new Mage update :D ! Gotta love it when certain mages will be perma-banned for a while XD

You say toxicity, everyone else says healthy and funny competition. Bming isn't toxic when it's done to a minimal amount, and the mastery spam was always the right amount of bm imo.

It was most likely removed because they're implementing Mastery Rank 6 and 7 in the next patch.

They could have. But maybe they are programming the 6 and 7 based on the absence of the rank 5 emote. You nevery what they could be doing when it comes to programming code. Even the slightest error can cause bizarre issues, so maybe that's why 5 is being removed now.
