Patch 5.11 Ekko

I think Riot is doing the right thing by not immediately nerfing Ekko's damage. All of his damage is very avoidable. Yes I understand his W can only be seen 0.5 seconds before it is active as far as patch 5.10 is concerned and that his ult can be hard to keep track of, but if you are able to keep track of his ult and predict his W he really doesn't bring too much to fights. Riot is obviously trying to fix this issue by giving players more of a warning for the W and making his "shadow" easier to keep track of. I think that it is good that they are not nerfing his damage and instead trying to make his kit even more telegraphed and easier to deal with/avoid. These changes could completely fix the problems people facing Ekko have, but they also might not, and then Riot can move forward from there.

My only complaint is the return damage of his Q. You might as well make it just 100 true damage.

You mean, the return that you can side-step from with ease?

Real?

Yep. I sidestep it almost everytime, but since when does someone's Q have the power to take half your health? Or since when should it?

Kha'zix Q, Talon's crit Q, ADCs do it almost every game, point and click.

Ekko's Q isn't doing half your HP - it's the passive proc that follows. Hence why I always say HIT HIS PASSIVE, not the unreliable parts of his kit.

Talon's another story, but I had an Ekko hitting me for 500 MD at level 6.

I am just hoping for rito to release the next champion as soon as possible so the spotlight faking shifts to calling the new guy OP

Play all the ekko you want till patch 5.12 then pick another champ because ekko is going to be like zilean. UN FAKING PLAYABLE-

His base mana and mana per level is getting buffed. His Q damage on both parts has had the ratio reduced by 0.05. His ult is getting a mana cost. Hardly what anyone can call a gut.

Have you heard of the this new game called DOTA maybe you should quit league and play that

These nerfs are pretty much a joke. His W was the ability LEAST in need of a nerf. He needs reworked into either a burst champion or sustained damage champion. He has both right now. At the VERY LEAST they could have done is give his ult a mana cost.

Hmm, looking at the PBE patch notes, looks like Riot agrees with me. Have fun on DOTA.

The only reason people think he is overpowered is because he is an assassin. All assassins have good snowball potential and can therefore run away with a game. People are seeing this and crying op however if you make sure to be mindfull of his ult and when he casts w then you can easily avoid the majority of his damage and his stun. Unless he is fed his q > e combo with passive will only do like half of a targets health

And to boot, he's an early game assassin.

So, he'll always shine (because everyone is guaranteed early game) but he falls flat on his ass later because he can't deal his damage upfront like every other assassin in the game - either with more reliable CC or damage.

Basically a more balanced, melee Leblanc (S2 Leblanc, not current LB)
