Eve will be the next target of GD

Give it a few months and you're going to start seeing her everywhere - top mid and roaming support. Her laning is really good, and a lot more reliable than her jungle is. She has a very surprising amount of damage and she is incredibly difficult to gank or kill. Her Q is an excellent way to tag last hits and push a lane. And even if Eve is losing a lane, it's easy to just tag last hits with stealth, or start roaming and snowballing the game. The only reason that people don't complain about her is that nobody ever plays her. It's like LeBlanc where nobody said anything until she started popping up everywhere.

Her kit is so versatile that it would be strong even if her passive was completely removed. Not only can she do exceptionally well in every lane, she can also fill almost every role because of dual scalings; burst ap assassin, burst ad assassin, tanky ap, tanky ad, and pure tank. Although certain items are better than others, there is a use for every single item on Eve. And due to the nature of her kit, even if she's feeding or building zero damage items, she is guaranteed to chunk your team for a huge portion of their hp and force a huge aoe disable on everyone.

BUT OMG PINK WARDS MAKE EVELYNN USELESS, but nope - a teammate can only place one on the entire map, and they merely bestow a false sense of security before Eve just either kills the ward when you're unable to retaliate, or just dashes through it and kills you anyway. I love the champion since her first release back in beta, and my favorite moments are when the community sees her as weak and yells at/bans players for picking her, and then starts crying a month later about how OP and unfair she is until Riot nerfs her.

Last time I checked, Evelynn was already nerfed into oblivion.

Her ult literally cannot kill someone, even if they have 1 HP. Her E does physical damage and you can run faster than her Q's missile speed. They removed DFG which was why she was OP and then they gutted her. She may be in a decent place but she is definitely far from OP.

More weaknesses - certain champions completely wreck her all game. J4 makes her completely worthless, and forces her to burn flash or die every ult. Rek'Sai renders her stealth completely useless and totally ruins all of her gank attempts and her entire playstyle. Early game, Eve is super weak and if you put her behind enough, she will never catch up due to her kit's melee range. However, even despite her weaknesses, her strengths are huge.

Her ult is more of a utility with damage as an extra bonus. Her ult would still be really powerful if it didn't do any damage at all - that shield and massive % slow aoe are brutal in a teamfight, and even if she can't kill anyone at 1 hp, she can slow them and dash into them before they can even flash away. Her Q is still quite fast, and the speed only really matters if someone is running away from you. Normally, Eve is so fast that she can just dash right up next to someone and hate spike point blank, tag with ravage, and run out before anyone can even touch her. With an AP build, that combo can chunk quite a bit and for almost zero risk.

But regardless, this is exactly the reasoning, and clear examples of her weaknesses that I will try to bring up when people will inevitably complain about how OP she is, and I also stated this when people -did- complain that she was OP a few months ago, but nobody will listen, much like everyone will blatantly ignore all of her obvious strengths for the time being until people are told that she is OP again by the pros.

I'm not even saying Eve is OP, I'm just saying she's strong - strong enough to the point that people will complain and get her nerfed again in a few months' time.

But yeah, Eve with DFG and max % scaling ult was laughably OP, quite possibly the strongest champion that's ever been in this game since beta, and I'm very glad that iteration of her is never coming back.
