Endless trolls in the lower division either afk'ing or inting in ranks prevent you?

No, i am the benefactor of afks and trolls more often than the sufferer of AFKs and trolls. If anything they help me. That could be that I don't afk or troll myself, or insult / flame people.

It's just the normal curve. Most people will have an even mix, but some will get a lot of afkers on their team and get lucky, and some will be brutalized by it. Welcome to the world of random.

No, I feel I am in the rank I am because I don't know the game good enough to carry my matches, I have managed, but it is not the norm for me yet, you might get trolls every now and then, but so does the enemy team.

Lol I know I came off incredibly cocky..but I feel like I carry a majority of my games but as a mage support, there's only so much I can do if my team throws the game. I just feel stuck...

If you are maining support it’s a good idea to find a few adcs that you trust to duo with. That way there’s less chance of a troll/afk on your team, and you can communicate to make better plays (plus the game is more fun with people you know). There are a few apps/websites out there to help you find duo partners, but there’s also a good league boards section here:

where you can either find a player or make your own post and let people find you. I also encourage you not to get frusterated by thinking you deserve a rank higher than you are. Ranks are earned with practice, time, and effort, and often take much of those 3 elements in combination to achieve. Stay patient, stay alert, learn from your mistakes, be friendly and understanding to your teammates and duo partners and you will climb in time :)
