She's an ADC that counters melee. In an extremely annoying and badly designed way, but it's what she does and the counterplay IS there.

Reduce her attack speed.

She's CertainlyT's only toxic champion. He hasn't failed outright with her (and he honestly never has) but this is his only big mistake. As my favorite designer he has let me down. But make no mistake that just because Kalista is badly designed doesn't mean she's overpowered. She's just...DUMB. The counterplay is there. Stop picking melee champions against her. If some idiot that goes on the forums and sees the complaints first picks Kalista in ranked thinking she's freelo, pick Malphite or rush Frozen Heart/Randuin's. Do something. Don't just sit there and cry and beg for nerfs. She's supposed to counterpick melee bruisers and assassins, not be a first pick.

So as annoying and stupid as she is, CertainlyT wasn't entirely blind in her ideation (he never has been.) He knew attack speed reduction would be a counter for her. But he didn't realize how toxic she is when she works.

Disclaimer: I do not own her or play her and find her extremely fucking annoying as an Assassin main. But I'm also knowledgeable about the game; something many people here lack in vast amounts.

certainlyT never failed you ? then there is something wrong with your expectations

certainlyT provides only champions that cant be ballanced and this is the only reason people hate him, and the reason for it is that his

ballance team does what they can, but he makes the life of the ballance team a nightmare, and thus his champs get to have a crappy ballance (either they are op or up, sometimes it is dependant on matchup)

and the thing is that this guy makes championswith the intent of making them stronger than others which i derived from his apearance at pax panel, where he was talking about thresh, and he was saying he wants thresh to be able to play every role and be able to win at every position, no described strenghts and weaknesses

Pretty sure no good game designer thinks in this way. And if he did, his superiors would have figured that out long before he made as many champions as he has. I'd also love for you to show me an example of Tank Zed or ADC Zyra.

He didn't say he wanted all of his champions to be good in every role. But he did explicitly say he wanted Thresh to be good everywhere. Top Thresh and Jungle Thresh were things he wanted to work too. Maybe the other designers said no to that, which is why he's only a good support today, but CertainlyT has shown himself to have very iffy design values. Wanting a champion to be good at everything is a pretty big sign of that.

Um lol melee only? She is immune to skill shots... supports like velkoz, which I main alot, cause love support, he does good base dmg so hes basically a carry support like blitz. But v.s. a Kalista? Call me a noob but I have become pretty good with poke skill shot champs like Ziggs Velkoz and Xerath and I can almost never i mean NEVER land a shot her jumps are way to unpredictable.... So shes good verses melee and skill shot mages... like wtf....

Kalista can kite all the short range adcs too (and dodge their abilites).

I was sorta with you until you said she was CertainlyT's only toxic champion. Everything he touches turns into a balance nightmare. He's a reverse Midas.

Because she is too mobile, and that pretty much counters everybody nowadays, the end.

Welcome to the world where mobility is king and people don't want lock ons, more mobile = better and more mobile = **counter **cough cough to the less mobile.

Oh yes, THE FUTURE.

EDIT: Tbh, I would like CertainlyT try making a normal champ for once again, not with this style of "every gimmick for every champ, and as overloaded as it can be" while failing miserably at almost all of them. Start from walking first if you wanna run, that's rule of thumb.

I think he should just be fired honestly.
