As a top main, one thing i want to tell junglers is that

my lane is actually gankable. you can ACTUALLY countergank.

there are a group of junglers who actually believe top is the lane where you ignore your teammate for the entire game and then late game he/she just 1v5 carries.

little did you know, my lane is 2x easier to gank than bot from all different kinds of junglers.

meaning level 6 im usually dead or have been forced to back from the jungler.

ive been dove multiple times and my junglers response is "why are u surprised its top lane lol i cant help you"

like ?

playing riven is like "DO NOT LOOK AT MY LANE" to some people/ they think im just going to 2v1 every single champ in the game and come out with full hp. im riven, im not a god.

i rarely see a gank and if i do it results in my jungler feeding doubles to my top laner.

please for the love of god use your brains when it comes to top lane.

this lane is so fucking stressful.

one mistake and im forced to lose 50 cs after.

thats what I hate about top lane, you either win big or lose big. and ganks are rare if ever. rough life.

as an occasional jungler I try to gank for every lane. esp those lanes that are being pushed against.

junglers actually expect me to come out of 7 ganks unscathed with perfect cs.

if im behind they flame me knowing they could have helped save my lane if they JUST tried

first of all if you lost your lane alot its better for a jungler to focus on other lanes and try to get them ahead then a losing lane. Second off if there top lane wards alot or is always pushed then you cant do anything early on other wise risk giving them a double. Third you can't always be treated as a priority at the moment in the current meta bot lane is the easiest to gank since they are really weak due to them sharing exp, and most adcs at the moment are immobile ones like jhin and twitch that dont have a reliable get out of free jail card outside of flash. I'm sorry for your troubles as a top lane but to me this sounds alot like complaining and riven main talk

Gonna be honest, counterganking has a lot more to it than you'd think (or that I can do). If you've ever watched someone like LS, higher ELO counterganking includes literally tracking clear path of the opponent based on their cs count, then predicting their decision based on what's present and what's missing from the map, arriving just before they do, and then finally counterganking usually from a lane bush.

Sure you can just be around and then when you see the enemy ganking go and help, but to actually counter gank smartly it's really mentally difficult. I've been trying to work on this for a while now and I can only correctly trace the enemy like 50% of the time.

While it is true that top lane is in fact gankable, it is also true that most ganks can be avoided in any lane and that you should need 0 help from jungle to win your lane.

People have a tendency to blame the jungler for their own mistakes such as dying to a gank and to rely on the jungler to pace the game for them.

When I play top lane, I hope my jungler never ganks as they usually don't know how to do so properly and just feed, at the same time I love when someone attempts to gank me so that they can waste their time and let me pull pressure so that we snowball the other lanes.

Generally, if a gank comes in and you die it is due to a mistake. Low vision, low map awareness, overextension, overstaying etc. On the other hand, if you set up a gank, get the enemy overextended, blow their summs, win trades and time it so your jungler is on your side of map then ping for help they will most likely come in and the gank will succeed.

What gets me is when my jungler has ganked for the other two lanes and not gotten anything from it, and they die shortly thereafter (i.e. after the gank they're pushed up to try to get an advantage and then the enemy gank gets a kill).

Then 10min in to the game, I'm 0/0/0 and UP CS with the enemy top laner having been pushed the entire game so far. And still he tries to gank for the lanes he's been failing on and not touching mine.

When I'm playing someone with CC. I.e. someone that can actually assist in the gank.

Junglers need to go in to a game and look at the lanes and say: which lanes can I successfully gank? Then they need to reevaluate as the game goes on and see what works and what doesn't. A lot of the time they get the first step wrong and miss the second entirely.

As a jungler, I can atest to this. I tend to gank top far less than mid and bot. Though I do always go for one early on during my second rotation.

The reason for this is that (outside of the meta junglers) they are usually squish and cannot dish out enough damage nor can lock down the thick-skinned nature of most toplaners. At least early on. For example, a gank on a Poppy will lead to her just walking away unscathed while the enemy jungler steals camps or ganks bot. It just doesn't have the priority. This is due to the location as well, being opposite to the drag and all.

Therefore, top is usually low priority untill it gets pushed back fairly far, then it becomes actually possible to do anything to help.

as a top main, i dont want the jungler to even come near my lane right now, unless that bot turret is already dead, and there is a cloud drake down there.

for my elo it doesnt happen as often as the boards depict it.

its when my bot walks up to their turret and then die claiming "unfair gank"

and then lose tower.

normal bot lanes with brain cells wont do that shit.

top lane tower is 10x easier to take than bot and u can take it 2x earlier depending on ur champ.

this has nothing to do with low elo. in higher divisions, the bot lane dives are standart aswell. in fact they probably end more in plain suicide in bronze.

Yea but diamond Elo bot lane ganks are hard to pull off what with the balanced champion Janna
