This is Fun cause even the shot callers, and announcers for pro matches mention this all the time, how stagnet the champion pool is now.

Think even yesterday during the origen match they were making comments like " oh. look Jhin vs Varus bottom lane, Aren't there any other ADCs? " or how exited they get a Singed top lane they're pretty much jumping for joy cause its new.

for some reason, right now all these ape top laners have a shit ton of damage for no reason Jayce Riven for example

like at one point during a game of mine i had more armor then the jayce had AD as maokai. but he could still half health me with one rotation of abilities. like LOL WHAT?

another time just yesterday, i volibeared against a riven top. at level 1, i had cloth armor and she managed to come within 20 HP of killing me . . . at level one. when i had about oooh 50 armor?

these champions need to have there damage stats looked at. there is no excuse for such gross amounts of damage

If you get down to 20hp as Voli vs Riven top at Level 1 (without the Riven being equally low), thats your bad. Dont blame Riven's damage.

i will never feel like its "my fault" that riven does that much damage and theres nothing i can do to stop her. its literally take the damage or flash away. congrats you flashed away now she can just flash stun you and kill you at level 2 because if level 1 she could almost 100-0 you CONGRATS she now has another damage spell and can CERTAINLY 100-0 you

its obscene the amount of damage in this game when a guy who has 50 armor almost fucking dies at level 1 (if it wasnt for voli passive i probably would have)

Enough with the circlejerk.

If youre too stupid to trade back when Riven is doing her combo at level 1, thats your problem. If you let her walk up to you and execute her combo 3 times (since thats how many combos it would take to get through a Voli passive + cloth armor start), thats your problem. If you take stupid amounts of minion aggro, thats your problem.

this isnt a question of "oh im bad because i traded back" there is NO EXCUSE AT ALL for a champion being able to almost kill you at level 1 whenever you did a defensive start on a champion that has higher tank stats then most champions. this is the point of my words. yes i didnt trade back, and im not saying anything like that is a problem. im saying SHE HAS NO EXCUSE TO DO THAT MUCH DAMAGE.

I'm not doubting that Riven has the damage to a kill at level 1. Champions can get level 1 kills. Its not uncommon.

Riven, Rengar, Jayce, Darius, Udyr, Rumble, and Fiora are all known for their Level 1 cheese, and I'm probably missing a couple. Tryn can if he gets a couple lucky crits. Voli is actually one of the better level 1 straight up fighter champs with his passive, his AS boost, and his bite. Hecarims up there too, as is Trundle agasint ADs.

I dont know how to actually see the match, but lets do some maths for fun:

Riven had 9x AD marks and 2x AD quints, and took the AD mastery in the first tree for a total of 15.5 bonus AD (she took AS over ability damage). She went down the middle tree but took CDR instead of the flat pen, and she took thunderlords. Her base AD at level 1 is 56, for a total of 71.5 AD.

Her 3 Q's do 30 + 120% AD. Her passive gives her 25% AD bonus on hit damage, for a total of 375% AD damage. Her fast combo at level 1 should do 30 + 495% AD damage = 380 raw damage.

Thunderlords does 10 damage + 30% Bonus AD for a total of around 15 damage. This comes out to 395 damage raw. He took the masteries to do 2% increased damage from Assasin, 5% from double edged sword. That puts him at 407 raw damage (probably a bit more since I didnt take Merciless's 5% below 40% HP into account - but at max, 450 damage if you started the fight below 40%).

You were a Volibear - 584 HP base, 26.4 armor base, +9 armor from runes, +15 from Cloth. (I'm not including defensive masteries, which increases your armor). You had around 35 armor and over 40 MR starting. The armor reduces incoming damage by around 25% (the MR a little bit more).

So one full combo of 3 Q's, 3 empowered autos, and a thunderlords proc should do around 300 damage after resists. One of these combos isnt enough to trigger your passive, much less kill you. 2 of those combos would kill you if you didnt have your passive - since you heal for 30% of your max HP, it would take around 3 of those combos to kill you (assuming zero other regen and no pots used).

So youll have to forgive me if I dont think that Riven got you down to double-digit health with 1 combo at level 1. Unless, of course, you took too much minion damage, which is a problem with your play.

sure plenty of champs can get level 1 kills, but they usually require a VERY extended trade. trynd? about 5 autos if he crits everyone (inwhich case RNGesus REALLY hates you that day) but his AA speed isnt the best you can just walk away. unless he further cheeses you and starts E in which case you better flash or have a slow or something. fiora? she isnt killing you at level 1 unless you stand there and fight like a idiot. rengar needs to jump on you a few times and build up his stack. has to q 3 times and then can go in for a kill with his 3rd q stack into the empowered one which again takes time. jayce? same way he has to smack you with autos and you can dodge his ranged Q. darius? well either he starts W which you just dont get into AA range or he starts Q and you walk away. udyr just runs at you. so just dont fight him. riven though? walk up for a CS BOOM fast comboed

i cant see a flaw in your math. but i know for a FACT she did more damage then what you just showed.

i did not take minion damage nor did i exhaust cause i was like "eh its level one how much damage could she do?"

again you just have to see it i guess. but with replay.gg no longer available i dont know how. just pop up my profile in the client perhaps? you can look and replay match histories through there can you not?

I cant watch your match histories. I can only watch my own. And I am in no way defending Riven, cause I personally think Animation Canceling on the level that Riven does breaks her as a champ (no champ should be trash without it but quite possibly the best champion in the game with it).

But I still dont see how Riven can get a Voli down to double-digit health through his passive at Level 1 with one combo. If she can do that to Voli with a Cloth start, she can basically kill any champ at level 1 with a fast combo. Is that what youre suggesting? Riven is able to 100-0 every single champion in the game at level 1 with only her Q?

it certainly seems like it. im not making the shit up. she didnt do it TROUGH my passive, but simply once her burst was down backed off. if it wasnt for the passive i would have died right then and there

i agree with the animation cancelling. more so i think it shouldnt be a cherry picked thing. oh this champ can have it but this other one cant (zed for a good example) orb walking is the ONLY exception as this doesnt change anything as it doenst increase AA speed

Lethality Graves is hella scary too, a bit later into the game and he deals just slightly less damage with his autos than Jayce does with E-Q.

Not to mention his Q-AA-R-E-AA....ulti starts dealing a ton of damage very quickly with lethality item build.

Take a note that the items that stack both AD and lethality are the reason he is so damn powerful,

maybe, but depending upon how many shotgun bursts graves can hit, his armor pen can raise quickly, making full stacks of black cleaver a likely possibility given its coding and riot's history
