An idea to actually make Teemo viable and not unplayable!

Teemo's Dart, Poison and Shrooms are iconic and we don't want to touch that, same goes with his passive! But with the mobility everyone else gets to have, and the CC they do as well, Teemo just can't operate correctly.

His whole trading potential is working around keeping your opponents out of range, so not having neither CC nor proper mobility really hurts him in this aspect. Which is why the W would be reworked, not completely redesigned but reworked!

So by my idea, it'd be like this:

  • Removed: W - Move Quick PASSIVE: Teemo gains bonus movement speed if he hasn't taken damage from enemy champions or turrets for 5 seconds. ACTIVE: Teemo doubles his bonus movement speed for 3 seconds and prevents it from being disabled by damage for the duration.

  • Added: W - Bunny Hop PASSIVE: Teemo gains out of combat movement speed. When in combat, auto-attacks on Champions or Large Monsters grant a decaying 10/14/16/18/20% movement speed increase for 1 second. ACTIVE: Teemo bunny hops forward, doubling his extra movement speed. The length of how much he "hops" is increased by his movement speed, with enough letting him jump over walls. (The passive wouldn't stack if that turned out to be too strong.)

This would let his kit and Teemo in general operate in the same ways, but it'd give him the mobility he so desperately needs and would be a pretty substantial buff to on-hit Teemo. Additionally, it'd let him jump over small and medium walls. Given that every other toplaner gets some form of mobility or CC, even the marksmen (Quinn with her blind and dash, Vayne with condemn and Q), I'd say this wouldn't make Teemo a monster or anything. Just usable.

Tell me what you think!

Teemo isn't that bad. He has been hovering around 50% winrate for quite awhile and has only dropped this patch, probably due to the meta shifts. There have actually been patches recently where he was one of the strongest top laners in the game (5th overall for win rate). He just feels weak because everyone still assumes that he is a lane bully, when he is actually a late game champ now (win rate scales from 46% up to 55.5% from 0-40+ minutes).

I’m a one trick and I completely agree with the W change. Teemo can have points in his W and still be slower than many champs while they also have dashes and cc. I used to win lane most games but seems as if I lose lane 75% of the time now. He is extremely weak and needs help.
