Why do people get full xp from minions dying even if they don't cs well.?

Again what is the point of this. first off. they can adjust that to work normally as it is now for duo lanes. but am sick and tired of playing against players that have higher cs than me. but them picking a lane bully that forces me back to lose to some minions death meanwhile they can't last hit for shit and get to level 6 first and bully me even more and it often results in a death. it makes no sense. do we not expect players to last hit in this game?

Because it makes the game less snowbally, like, considerably less snowbally. Imagine you get zoned off cs completely. You only get 10 while Darius gets 40. you are now stuck level about 3 levels below him and not only are you behind in gold, you are also behind in XP.

am not saying 100% of xp should be gated by last hitting. you get 75% cs from dead minions. or even 80%. and 20% from killing them

when am in lane before first back. it doesn't matter if i have more gold or not xp matters.

The snowballing wouldn't be as hard but it would still be worse than it is now. If you got zoned off a total of even just 20-30 cs that could mean them getting lvl 6 faster than you, forcing a kill, and snowballing the lane harder.

it doesn't matter if i have more gold or not xp matters.

gold does matter though. The difference in lane trades between a Irelia with only item 3101 and a Darius with item 3044 and item 3133 is pretty huge.

How exactly are supports supposed to level up without passive minion exp?

idk put the xp gain from minion deaths in the support item just like the jungle items

Then what prevents everyone from buying said item?

because the item wouldn't give more xp than what you already get from being in a solo lane.

good CS = more gold bad CS = less gold

thats not a punishment thats just not accepting to get gold. they need to lose some portion of xp if they don't last hit.

I think you seriously underestimate the importance of gold. In general, a champion without their items is worthless.

For a demonstration of this, go do a custom game with you and beginner bots only, but buy nothing all game long. See how that works out.

You understand that if you are still zoned off the wave, and your opponent has some understanding of lane mechanics, you'll be punished even harder under this circumstance than under the current situation? If I zone you off, I'm not just gonna push the wave into you so you can then farm it up under your tower. I'm gonna freeze it as much as I can so you are denied as many last hits as possible. So now not only am I ahead of you in gold but also in experience.

This is not always true. I have been up 30-45 cs in lane recently and still was behind in XP. That's an issue when my lane opponent has no kills or assists.

They had a big problem with XP differentials a few months ago with people getting additional early xp from kills. People would die in a solo lane return and be 2 full levels down. That would essentially make the lane "over" because a level 6 could easily kill a level 4. They toned it back and now it is less punishing.

XP is incredibly important early and not gaining EXP from last hits (or gaining less xp without a last hit) makes it so that getting zoned off CS is incredibly punishing early. You are not only losing the gold from not last hitting, but then you are missing XP. This would push the game towards early game champions that can only zone to deny early xp and then kill when the differential is too high.

It would also screw up gaining XP when grouped and catching up in levels in the later game would virtually be impossible. It already feels pretty hard to do as it is.

its not fun getting zoned off from an irelia that can't even last hit only to have her all in my at level 6 under my own turret. irelia is just an example . but its incredibly annoying.

Yes, that is one anecdote. What I am saying is that reducing xp from the inability to last hit would have more ramifications for the game when one is behind than when one is ahead.

Games would end earlier and coming back from a game would be almost impossible. XP is the most important resource in the early game and making easier for earlier game champions to deny that resource from other champions would be highly problematic for the game.

If you look at mechanics, if they can't CS you should be able to capitalize on that deficiency as the game goes on. People that can't CS early often do not prioritize CS in the mid game and you can easily catch up.

In general one only gets "tower dove" if one is low on health, low on mana or both that early.

I see you play GP top. You should be pretty safe from dives with your barrel slows, orange, and ultimate.
